Chanel’s Fall-Winter 2025 collection played with proportions, offering a bold mix of oversized and miniature designs. With the Grand Palais transformed into an immersive space full of dramatic visuals, the collection embraced contrasts—delicate details and larger-than-life elements—exploring the theme of scale throughout both the runway looks and accessories.

And then there are the bags—perfectly capturing this play on proportions. From ultra-mini designs that redefine compactness to bold, oversized statement pieces, each bag pushes the boundaries of scale. Whether it’s an oversized pearl-inspired minaudière worn crossbody or the most miniature of Coco Spheres, these designs elevate the collection with their striking contrasts.

Let’s take a closer look at ten standout bags that represent both the mini and maxi categories.
Micro Bags
Chanel’s micro and mini bags in the Fall-Winter 2025 collection embraced the art of miniature proportions, featuring tiny top handles and minute capacities. While these bags won’t hold much more than a few coins, they are small but mighty, drawing attention with bold design and luxurious details.

Chanel 31
A returning staple in Chanel’s recent collections, the Chanel 31 bag continues its evolution for Fall-Winter 2025, this time in an ultra-miniature form. Reduced to petite proportions, this micro Chanel 31 was crafted from a mix of black tweed with metallic highlights and smooth black leather. The tiny rendition was so small it was carried by the model, balancing on a single finger.

Coco Sphere Minaudière
Chanel revisits Virginie Viard’s Coco Sphere Minaudière from the Pre-Fall 2022 collection, reimagined and downsized further. Presented both as a tiny accessory carried by hand with its delicate chain strap and as a bag charm attached to larger handbags, the minaudière retains its iconic sphere shape, now also available in an oval version.
The Coco Sphere Minaudière was presented in smooth lambskin with a flat quilted design in black, white, and pale pink. Each style includes gold-tone CHANEL lettering and a tiny clasp. While the miniature size leaves us wondering what fits inside, its undeniable charm makes it a standout accessory.

Micro Top Handle with Chain
Another miniature marvel, the Micro Top Handle, made its runway debut in glossy patent leather with gold-tone hardware. While not a completely new silhouette from Chanel, this micro design features additional hardware detailing, including a gold-tone trim. With a quilted finish, a tiny top handle, and a delicate chain shoulder strap, the bag was carried by hand and styled crossbody on the runway.
The Micro Top Handle was presented in classic black, as well as striking all-gold and silver versions, making a statement far larger than its actual size.

The Coco Cube
The Coco Sphere Minaudière gets a new sibling with the debut of the micro cube-shaped Minaudière. Crafted with the same quilted lambskin as its spherical counterpart, this new design features the iconic CC emblem on the front, a quilted, engraved fastening, and a detachable shoulder strap for versatile wear – either hand carry or effortlessly attached to your maxi bag, to carry your favorite mint.

Micro Vanity
Chanel vanity bags are a timeless favorite, and now, what is typically small or mini-sized has been downsized to the most petite proportions. Featuring the classic vanity silhouette with a zip-around closure, this micro version is crafted from white quilted lambskin and adorned with the iconic CC emblem on the front. Complete with a perfectly petite top handle – just big enough to grip – the bag was styled on the model’s wrist on the runway, with the chain strap elegantly wrapped around her wrist.

Maxi Bags
The larger offerings in Chanel’s Fall-Winter 2025 collection played with scale and proportion, showcasing designs that were as bold in presence as they were in style. While not all were truly “maxi” in size, these bags brought an elevated, statement-making touch to the collection, whether through enlarged chains, bold hardware, or striking proportions.
Let’s dive into these standout larger styles that made their mark on the runway.

Oversized Flap Clutch
Small leather goods go supersized as Chanel reimagines the Classic Flap Card Holder as a bold statement clutch. This oversized design mirrors the sleek aesthetic of its smaller counterpart but is amplified for dramatic effect. Presented in quilted black and red aged calfskin, it’s finished with an enlarged CC closure. The concept is akin to the giant key clochette Louis Vuitton introduced for its Spring 2023 collection.

Bow Bags
The Bow Bag, a reimagining of Chanel’s iconic design from the 2008-2009 collection, returned to the runway with a maxi-sized presence, repeated multiple times in leather, nylon, washed denim, and tulle, all in black with gold-tone hardware. The proportions may fall short of a true maxi bag, but its huge impact was felt throughout the show. On this version, the classic Mademoiselle turnlock, associated with the Reissue, has been replaced by the signature CC turnlock. Along with the chain shoulder straps, a double top handle has also been added, offering versatility in styling.

Oversized Tweed Pouch
A fresh silhouette with classic charm, Chanel introduced a plump, pillow-like bag on the runway. Styled tucked under the arm, this tactile piece offers generous proportions and features a flap top closure secured with a signature CC turnlock. The bag was showcased in two variations of tweed, each paired with gold-tone hardware – one in a red quilted design and the other in black with a subtle metallic thread running through it.

Chunky Chain Flap Bag
No Chanel collection is complete without seasonal takes on the iconic Classic Flap silhouette, and the Fall-Winter 2025 collection is no exception. This new seasonal flap bag echoes the classic shape but introduces a fresh twist through its elevated details. While not particularly oversized, the bag’s maxi element comes through in its bold, thick leather-interlaced chain shoulder strap. This chunky chain stands in stark contrast to the more delicate chains seen on the Classic Flap, giving the bag a strikingly modern edge. Reminiscent of the iconic 2010s era Chanel Olsen bag, nicknamed for its association with the chic twins behind The Row, who were known for favoring this style, the bag is crafted from yellow tweed woven with metallic gold threads. It forgoes traditional quilting for a grid-like design and is secured with the signature turnlock fastening, completing the look.
A similar chunky top-handle chain also appeared on a leather hobo within the lineup.

Pearl Bag
Knotted along the bow theme were pearls. . . as handbags and jewelry. Notably, the more unconventional design was a classic string of pearls, reimagined in a supersized format and draped crossbody. Complete with a CC emblem nestled among the pearls and a necklace clasp fastening, the central, largest pearl doubles as a compartment that opens to house your essentials.
