Hermès continues to elevate the backpack game with the introduction of the Kelly Jump, a modern take on the iconic Kelly Ado backpack from 1996. This fresh design honors the classic silhouette while incorporating contemporary elements for a practical yet petite backpack.

The Kelly Jump features a sleek, minimalist Retourne silhouette, further enhanced by functional pocket detailing inspired by the Kelly Moove. A single pouch pocket, secured with Hermès’ signature sangles and touret fastening, provides easy access to essentials like keys and cards.

The Kelly Jump has been seen in two sizes – a mini version resembling the Kelly Ado 22 cm (approximately 7.4 x 8.85 x 3.5 inches) and a larger variant comparable to the Kelly Ado 26 cm (about 10.6 x 10.2 x 4.3 inches), though official measurements are still pending. Its adjustable shoulder straps attach via a central ring, reflecting the classic Kelly Ado design.

Currently, the Kelly Jump is offered exclusively in Swift leather, renowned for its soft texture, semi-smooth finish, durability, and exceptional color absorption. It comes in classic Hermès hues like Noir, Étoupe, and Gold, alongside vibrant options such as Jaune Milton.

While pricing details have not been officially confirmed, the Kelly Jump has already arrived at FSH in Paris and is gradually making its way to U.S. boutiques.

Louis Vuitton – Montsouris

A reissue of a fan favorite, Louis Vuitton reintroduces its iconic Montsouris Backpack for its Pre-Fall 2024 collection. First released in 1994, this fresh interpretation updates the vintage style with contemporary touches.

Notably, the Mini and PM sizes of the backpack have updated their straps from the original canvas versions to durable, adjustable Monogram canvas. These new style straps are attached using D-rings for versatile styling options.

Meanwhile, the MM size maintains a classic look with adjustable Vachetta leather straps – which aren’t removable. While the Montsouris still secures with the classic drawstring and buckle fastening seen in the vintage designs, this updated iteration offers added security with a magnetic closure. And finally, the modern Montouris is adorned with a gold heat-stamped LV circle logo.

For Fall-Winter 2024/25, Chanel includes several stylish backpack options as part of its Pre-Collection, including a vintage-inspired drawstring design.
