Northern Europe may have been feeling the chill, but that didn’t stop fashionistas from flocking to Copenhagen Fashion Week for the highly anticipated Autumn/Winter 2025 shows.

Held from January 27th to 31st, the bi-annual event picked up right after Paris Men’s Fashion Week, running alongside Paris Haute Couture Week and keeping the fashion calendar in full swing. With standout collections from Skall Studio, Filippa K, Marimekko, Rotate, and Stine Goya, Copenhagen cemented its place as a hub of creativity and style.

But beyond the runways, Copenhagen’s streets became a showcase of statement accessories. Attendees braved the frosty temperatures in bold, stylish layers. Outerwear naturally took center stage—oversized, cocoon-like coats and statement hats dominated the street style scene. And then there were the bags — certainly not an afterthought. From chic Hermès Birkins to lowkey Scandinavian brands, Y2K vintage, and everything in between.

Now let’s take a look at the standout bags spotted at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
Chanel
While the timeless black Flap Bag was noticeably scarce, a wave of vibrant and tweed variations took its place. Older collections commanded attention, with a touch of vintage treasures in the mix. One standout was the Chanel Colorama Watercolor Classic Flap from Spring/Summer 2014. Recent designs also made their mark, including the Chanel 24K Shearling Flap Bag, the buttery yellow East-West Flap Bag from the Spring/Summer 2025 Pre-Collection, and the newly introduced Chanel 25 Bag.

Hermès
Unlike Chanel’s playful offerings, Hermès bags leaned toward understated elegance. Neutral hues like Black, Étoupe, and Gold were the dominant choices, spotted across coveted styles such as the Birkin, Kelly, and Picotin. Reflecting Copenhagen Fashion Week’s emphasis on sustainability, archival Hermès pieces were also in circulation. The discontinued Kelly Sport backpack made a rare appearance, alongside a selection of box calfskin Kellys.

Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton remained a go-to at the Copenhagen Autumn/Winter 2025 shows, with the legendary Speedy emerging as a clear favorite. While the classic Monogram canvas held its ground, collectors’ pieces stole the spotlight. Among the most striking were the Stephen Sprouse Graffiti Speedy from Spring/Summer 2001, and the original Takashi Murakami Speedy from the 2003 runway. Other noteworthy designs included the Monogram Mirror Speedy from Marc Jacobs’ Autumn/Winter 2009 collection and the Richard Prince Speedy 35 Watercolor from 2008.

Bottega Veneta
With its signature Intrecciato weave taking center stage, Bottega Veneta proved that luxury doesn’t need flashy logos to make an impact. The ever-popular Jodie remained a favorite, spotted in classic shades of black and beige, while the Mini Jodie in fluffy pink shearling added a playful, winter-ready touch. The newer Andiamo also had its moment, appearing in both tote and clutch variations. But the true standout of the season? The Arco Shearling Teddy Tote—a cozy statement piece with plush texture and oversized woven detailing.

And Let’s Not Forget the Others…
Beyond the standouts, Copenhagen’s streets were filled with bags in all shapes and sizes – from structured to slouchy, micro to oversized, and statement-making to understated. Texture played a key role this season, with buttery suede, rich pony hair, and plush shearling adding depth to some of the most coveted designs.

Maximalist Bags: Bold and Statement-Making
statement prints dominating the streets. Animal-inspired designs stood out, from Prada’s vintage leopard-print ponyskin and Silfen’s Lola Shoulder Bag in natural cowhide. Nostalgia played a role too, with standout vintage pieces like Dior’s Boston Bag from John Galliano’s 2004 Rasta collection making an appearance. And for even more texture, Loewe’s XL Flamenco in vivid orange plush faux fur, was impossible to miss.
Bag charms also had their moment—ranging from quirky keychains to chic mini bags clipped onto larger totes, adding an extra layer of personality.

Minimalist Bags: Chic and Understated
On the flip side, Copenhagen’s fashionistas embraced minimalist designs too. Dior’s chic Small Toujours Vertical Tote and Miu Miu’s coveted designs in black and tan made appearances, alongside suede options like Prada’s Aimée design in on-trend chocolate brown. Alaïa’s playful Le Cœur Heart Bag proved irresistible, while the East-West silhouette remained a favorite, with Alaïa’s Le Teckel and Magda Butrym’s Brigitte bags continuing to make their mark. The Row’s quiet luxe approach continued to resonate with bags like the Margaux, 90s Bag, and the understated Kew Bowling Bag.
