A Peek at My New Louboutins: The “Krystal Sock”

My relationship with Christian Louboutin goes way back. Not only have I worn his gorgeous shoe designs for years, but I’ve also had the pleasure of dining with M. Louboutin himself. (Read: PurseBop Reveals Louboutin x Sabyasachi Exclusive)

Well, now I’m excited to share with you my newest Louboutin acquisition—quite an unconventional pair of shoes. I’m smitten over the Krystal Sock. Will you be too?

The Krystal Sock is the fruit of over three years of work and lends a disruptive, playful take to the tried and true model. Crafted in this season’s Diva color: a hot pink, exclusives for the Middle East and select Asian stores only.

The Krystal Sock sneaker offers new ways to make a fashion statement backed by the finest in technical execution.

The pair is decorated with a covering of Swarovski Krystal spikes, paying tribute to one of the House’s most iconic signatures.With UV-reactive crystal strass running through the neoprene sock, these shoes glow and gleam long into the party light. The price will also glow as it might be the most expensive show I have ever bought. You may have seen some earlier versions retail for $1295, well these are nearly 2.5 times that and will set you back a number I care to not officially confess to, yikes.

Let’s not miss the classic red soles (yes, even sneakers can have them!) Set on an outsole that required two years of design and development, the Krystal Sock is fitted with cushions at the toe and heel. Plus, notches in the sole render the streamlined sneaker ultra-supple.

The result? Maximum comfort. I feel like I’m walking on tiny clouds.
