‘It’ bags generally are hot one minute and gone the next. Despite this, Prada’s re-edition of its Multi Bag doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. And its popularity just keeps rising.

Also known as the Prada Bandoliera Tessuto Saffiano, Prada Re-Edition Hobo Bag and the Prada Multi Pochette, this style dates to 2005. The retro piece sports the same iconic nylon material that made waves in the 1980s on the now famous Prada Nylon Backpack. Apparently, combining the brand’s throwback nylon with the multi bag craze, turned this bag into a “must-have.”

The main purse is made from Prada’s classic nylon with Saffiano leather trim and sports the house’s signature metal triangle logo. There’s also a chic detachable leather name tag embossed with the words ‘Prada Re-Edition 2005’. So what makes it a multi-bag? There’s a small pouch attached to the thick strap. While the smallest pouch of the pouch doesn’t hold all that much many have noted that it makes a great air pods holder – seemingly functionality at its finest!
Furthermore, this bag allows three swanky looks thanks to the design’s two straps. The thin metal chain can be worn over the shoulder to create a sleek and elegant look while the thicker logo fabric shoulder strap suits a cross-body look or alternatively can be worn over the shoulder to hang freely on the hip.

The Re-Edition hobo is available in a myriad of colors, both neutral and pop! Selections include the more popular black and beige in addition to red, pink, blue, green, yellow and more!

Seen on a slew of celebrities and influencers, this design attracts widely bag lovers worldwide. The bag retails for $1,290 in the United States. It is currently available on Prada’s website. It also can be found in select Prada boutiques, as they begin to re-open in the wake of the pandemic.
However, this design has been known to sell out fast and be hard to find. After all, it has sold out before. Many popular resale sites such as Vestiaire Collective, Fashionphile and Stock x also carry the bag, however it is likely to cost you significantly more than retail with average prices ranging from $1.5 – 2.5K.

Retro comebacks and cult bag hysteria are almost de riguer in the luxury bag market. However, few pieces have garnered the level of acclaim that this bag has.
