Lauren Conrad celebrated with friends her NYFW premier yesterday. Her very first runway collection “LCRunway” for Khols was true to her own style with a muted color palette, soft lace, flowy skirts and lots of pleats. Congrats, LC!

Great thread!!! Mine is def my floral Gucci hobo. I only use her in the summer and sometimes I forget to get her out until July ??. I really adore her though, she just takes a backseat to my others now!

Yes, he has bought bags for me before that he knew I wanted, then later told me he thinks the bag is “nothing special.” LOL. Granted, I wasn’t into buying bags when I met him, I’ve always been into fashion and bought my first luxury bags many years ago but then got bit by the travel bug big time so I spent all my money on trips and expensive fashion took a back burner. I ended up going to almost 30 countries within just a few years but now that I’m with him my traveling ways have slowed down quite a bit, we mainly travel together now. So it’s only been in the past couple of years that I’m have been wanting to build a bag collection, so perhaps he just needs to get used to it more.
I do wish he would spend more on nicer things for himself, at least he will wear things that I’ve bought him but it will take a lot of birthdays and occasions to build him up a decent wardrobe! I am trying to convince him that bags like Chanel and Hermes are “practical” since they hold their value and never go out of style. I definitely cringe when I see him throwing out electronics that he bought not that long ago but are already obsolete, I tell him that’s like a a Birkin you are throwing in the trash lol!

Ah he still sounds pretty great! ?? I feel like most guys these days are like your hubs. Mine is only really into certain bags and brands he believes hold value or are worth more even later, if it’s an exotic or special edition, etc. For instance, he does not like the Petite Malle LV bags even though I’m obsessed. He gets randomly love/hate over certain bags/belts/shoes for no reason, lol. He doesn’t get clothes as much, though?! He thinks I have “too many,” (even though my closet is super curated and very small compared to most girls into fashion and particularly small for someone in luxury retail ?). That’s always a struggle. He’s also really into cars, coins, certain memorabilia, gems, so it’s just a personality thing?! Lol I dunno. Eh, my advice for what it’s worth is to just be supportive of his hobbies/collections and keep on collecting and loving fashion – he loves that about you I’m sure and probably respects that you are strong in your convictions! You have great style! And I know you love cars, too! Sorry if this is not helpful….! ?????

Mine would have to be my Tods bags. I’m not quite sure what they’re called l din’t really pay too much attention to names of bags then, but l know l loved it so much l got it in two colors, red and tan

Hi Love,
Thanks so much for your reply<3
I agree with you, the St. Louis tote is for sure a perfect candidate! I love the Marilyn Monroe motives by Andy Warhol and think they are the perfect eye catcher!
Let's say if you would get your bag personalized, what would you wanna have painted on it? Do you have any idea?
By the way, I love your flats! Are they comfy? I have been thinking of getting them but wasn't sure about the comfort and quality of them
Again, thanks so much for your input!
Hugs,
Isabelle

Hi sweetie! What a fabulous thread. I would love to have a personalized bag. I think my Goyard St. Louis tote would be the best candidate for this. Since, I don’t have a painted bag in my collection I am posting one of my pics which shows my love for bags and pop art…a perfect combo! Thank you for starting such a unique and creative post.

There seems to be a learning curve to use the watch to its fullest (hubby curses Siri often lol). I think it brings techies with money to spend to Hermes and it brings a more luxe traditional aesthetic for luxury lovers. Could be a win-win for both companies. That being said tech items become outdated very fast. Not sure how Apple will upgrade the functionality of the current editions of its watch and still keep sales up when newer models come out. Dying to actually see the watch “in the flesh” but doubt I would purchase it.

Omg I am dying laughing over this!!!! I’m curious because you have so many other amazing bags – was it the price or the color he hated or something like that so you couldn’t bring yourself to tell him?! Since he knows you’ve bought bags since?! I loved this story it’s so great. I do this with shoes. I will hide them in the car, have them shipped to work, etc and then put them in a clear box (all my shoes are in them mostly) in the closet so it seems like they have been there the whole time…. Then I’ll wear them and he’s like ” whaaaaaat?” And I’m like “oh these?! I’ve had these.” ?????. Which is true, I have had them, just maybe only for a few days….. ???????

Great thread lovely!!!! I don’t have a specific sky + bag, but does sky reflecting off the water + bag count?! Lol. This I have posted before but it is close to my heart. ????

Here are some of my “Bags and Scenic Backdrop” pics. Being a nature lover and avid traveler I’m always taking a pic of my bag in the backdrop of something, somewhere I admire and enjoy. Thank
You all for sharing ?

What a fun thread! Being that we just completed summer it was all about the sky and view. I have a few bag and sky shots. I will start off with these two! Thank you for sharing :)

Hii :)
I am so happy you like this thread <3
Honestly, I didn't even think of the Evelyn bag but now that you have mentioned it…. SUCH A GREAT IDEA! But I really agree with you and think it is really hard to pick one of the beloved Birkin's for this, especially since you never know how much you will love the Art at the end.
I am really thinking of having a Keepall, Neverfull or Goyard Tote painted to be honest! I think it would me so much fun to start-up with one of these bags and then see where it would go :)
Thanks a lot for your reply! Really appreciate it!
Hugs,
Isabelle

I think these are so unique and different. I’ve always loved the pop art movement and it’s so fun to see on an LV or a Birkin. Yes, if you had a bunch of Hermes bags to spare, it would be neat to do but I think for a lot of people it would be hard to “give one up” for that cause! ?. I think the Evelyn bag would be really neat for a pop art design because you could incorporate the perforated H in the final look. Such a cool thread – I didn’t know much about these before! Thanks! ????

Here is one I have that showcases my usual mornings at home with the baby and was my first reveal of my first Chanel bag. It’s not too much food related as it is caffeine related!!! ??. I love all your pictures!!!

Dear PurseBop – she is so amazing! I am not a pink girl at all (I know, I know, it’s a crime ??) but she is truly AMAZING. It really is the best pink EVER. All the photos are great too – I was an art history major so I love historic places + Hermes photos! Many congrats on your lovely special offering from India!!! She looks lovely with the rest of your Hermes family; her new sisters!! ??????

Hi lbrand_stylegirl!!! I love all your photos! I have posted these before I think on Boptalk, but they definitely fit the bill for “Bags and Scenic Backdrops”!! They were both taken in Monaco for the Grand Prix this year back in May on our France trip. Totally amazing weather we had and glad my two fav bags made the trip with me! ??❤️❤️
