Which Brands Made It On The Most Lusted After List?

Miu Miu. At least according to Lyst and its compilation of 200 million shoppers worldwide for the third quarter of 2023. The quarterly-issued Lyst Index considers shoppers’ behaviors and searches on and off its shopping app, as well as product views and sales. Miu Miu rose from fourth place in Q2. Internet searches for Prada’s baby sister brand increased 39% over the prior year.

Explaining the growing popularity, Lyst points to multiple viral products, celeb-packed runway scenes, collabs with New Balance and Church’s shoes, and “it” girl campaigns with, for example, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid.

Perhaps ironically, the products leading the fashion charge aren’t exactly groundbreaking. Searches for cashmere cardigans shot up 12% after Miu Miu’s March 2023 show. The Miu Miu cardi, according to Lyst, was the second hottest product this quarter. The popularity of ballet flat rose 75% between March and September this year.

Coming in number 2 this quarter was Loewe, down from the top spot in Q2. Lyst also noted that the rising star brand had the hottest logo symbol of the year – Loewe logo now splayed on its RTW, bags, and shoes. The newly issued Squeeze bag has helped keep Loewe on the popularity charts and the über popular Loewe puzzle tote ranked as the seventh hottest item.

As for what’s not on the list . . . well, there’s no mention of Hermès and Chanel, either as top brands or with hottest products. Hmmm.

Following Miu Miu and Loewe on the Lyst Index to round out the top 20 brands are Prada, Bottega Veneta, Versace, Saint Laurent, Moncler, Valentino, Jacquemus, Burberry, Diesel, Gucci, Dior, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Skims, Fendi, JW Anderson, and Ferragamo.

The only handbags included on the hottest products list are the above-mentioned Loewe Puzzle Tote and the Cos quilted bag (#3) which retails for under $100. Among the hottest shoe-wise are Birkenstocks and the Prada 3D flower heels.
