Remember back to last October 2018, when Chanel had us all looking to the beach with a new, doubled and twisted look? (Read https://www.pursebop.com/surfs-up-at-chanel-spring-2019-doubled-and-around-the-neck/).
Well, those bags are now up on the Chanel website and coming into stores. They are called side -packs, though we suspect Chanel isn’t referring to mules but rather just to where to wear them. Available in different shapes and colors, the common feature is two bags attached with a CC leather strip. One style has two trapezoid-shaped bags, available in white, yellow, beige and red quilted leather with gold hardware. Each bag appears to be roughly 6.2″ x 7.4″ x 2.3″. Price is $6900.
The denim version has slightly more square quilted flaps (6.2″ x 6.4″ x 1.4″) for $5900.
Another style has two differently shaped flap bags – one half-moon-like and the other rectangular – with a leather, chain and pearl strap. That style comes in black and white and yellow and white, for $4700. A similarly-shaped version in either yellow or white is $4100.
For those who like big bags, there’s a large style as well for $8900 in all black and all white. Each of those bags is roughly 8″ x 10.5″ x 4.3″.
What do you think? Are you on the side of the side pack?
