Someone else’s loss could be your gain . . . for a price, natch. Just imagine your luggage went missing and tucked inside was a pink Birkin 25. Okay, can’t really imagine the horror . . . and no doubt we’d all move heaven and earth to find it.
But, someone didn’t. Unclaimed Luggage out of Alabama specializes in purchasing orphaned baggage from airlines sight unseen. And one particular suitcase contained this B25 in Rose Azalea Swift leather, subsequently authenticated by Entrupy. Now up for sale, it can be yours for $17,000.
We, however, are still stuck on imagining losing a bag containing a Birkin. More importantly, though, this situation highlights the importance securing your valuables. It is not known whether this Birkin rested in checked luggage or was accidentally abandoned in the passenger section of the airplane. Either way, travelers must pay attention to their items.
As a reminder, don’t put expensive items in checked luggage. And keep your eyes on your carry-ons.
