Birkin vs Kelly

If bag color is the priority, followed by type of leather and hardware, would you be open to either a Birkin or Kelly?

I like birkin more than kelly. I only owned one b now…if i have the option to choose between a b or k for my next purchase, I would still choose b :)

It is always so interesting hearing people’s points of views on this. I love the Birkin’s casual look and the easy access to it’s contents, but the elegance and class of the Kelly combined with the functionality of the strap when you have a child make it a winner for me. The simple solution is to get both of course!

I’m attracted to the look of the Kelly more right now for my personal style…I could see myself shifting into a Birkin girl a few years down the line

it’s a tough decision! both have their pros and cons. kelly is better for traveling (for me) because it has a strap BUT u cant put so much in the bag. u can put so much in a birkin but it gets really heavy because u have to hand carry it. >.< for traveling, I would prob prefer a kelly, so i can one extra hand for other bags and possibly to carry my baby. What about you italianfashionista? what is ur prefer bag?

i think it really depends on the occasion. the birkin is an ideal bag to carry lots of stuff in (if you’re going to the airport or traveling maybe). i don’t have one but i have a kelly and i mainly use it on weekends when i go out to dinners or afternoon city adventures
