BREAKING NEWS: Chanel Paris Jewelry Store Target of Armed Daylight Robbery

In brazen fashion, armed robbers looted a Chanel Jewelry store in central Paris’ Place Vendôme area. Footage captured by a local bystander, and verified authentic by French authorities, shows one of the suspects carrying a semiautomatic firearm as they exited the popup boutique.

Located on Rue de la Paix, the shop is a temporary location for Chanel’s jewelry and watch sales as the brand’s main Place Vendôme boutique undergoes extensive renovations ahead of its reopening in a few weeks’ time.

The thieves were spotted leaving the store with large bags, dressed in head-to-toe black, before speeding away on motorcycles. Chanel has not yet stated the dollar amount of what was looted. A witness shared that “it all happened very quickly and unfortunately the first police officers who arrived were on bicycles.”

Thankfully, no injuries were reported and the French luxury brand is working with authorities to identify and arrest the four suspects.
