After a month of coverage about masks, sanitizers and monetary contributions from our favourite luxury brands, we are excited to bring you updates on the latest initiative that 80 luxury labels are supporting – A Coronavirus Relief Fundraiser Auction!
The brands onboard include Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, Celine, Balenciaga, Prada, Stella McCartney, Miu Miu, Kenzo and many more. These brands have all joined forces to raise money for the non-profit organisation #ProtegeTonSoignant (translation: “protect your caregiver”). The NGO is supported by La mode S’engage – fashion’s latest effort in combating the coronavirus crisis, and has successfully raised over €5 million in the last five weeks, reports BOF.
Each participating designer is required to customize a design from their archive or design something new for the auction. The only “rule” is that the item must include a reference to the electric blue branding of Protege Ton Soignant, reports Forbes. In case the designers are unable to access material or actually produce the garment due to the lockdown, then a sketch of the design or offering access to made-to-order couture will also suffice.
The fundraiser will take place on the La Mode S’Engage’s site from 1st May at 12:00 pm and end on 4th May at 11:59 pm (Central European Time). Proceeds from the Auction will be donated to French Hospital and Healthcare workers.
We can’t wait to see the electric blue ensembles that our beloved brands present and hope that the auction is an immense success.
