So now that Karl has told us that it is ok to wear sneakers, do we have the seal of approval to wear them with jeans? I’m curious as to everyone’s thoughts on styling them. If comfortable is the new cool, then this combination seems like a winner to me! I would love to see your sneakers shots.

Whaw awsome shot and yes they’re super cool! Love it paired with skinny jeans even with white jeans in summer. I see lots of ladies in Antwerp sporting them with skirts, but that’s really not my style… The white with gold CC sneakers are awsome paired with your CDC, truly amazing!

These LV high tops are beyond! I just love them. I appreciate the styling tips, they look great how you’ve paired them with jeans and a casual top. Your chain Chanel bag is very cool as well.

I am not sure I would wear a high top with skinny jeans, I would probably wear with jogging pants xx

Thanks for the advice, jogging pants is certainly a great alternative. I am relatively new to the fashion sneakers game so I appreciate your thoughts.

Chanel sneakers – perfectly suitable for jeans and a cute top for a cas-look.
Nike sneakers – strictly for Lulu Lemon outfits ?
I love the look of Chanel sneakers and jeans. Certain ones even look great with Summer skirts and dresses as we’ve seen approved by KL on the runway ?

That is a very interesting distinction to make as I certainly don’t wear my sneakers I wear to the gym with anything other than LuLus. I haven’t tried them with a little summer dress yet but this is a cute idea and would be great for travel too when you walk around all day. Thanks for your thoughts.

Thought I’d share this here, note the LV sneakers ?

Now this is a really cute look. I feel like I have tried on 6,495 pairs of LV sneakers as my husband is always in the shoe section of LV but none have come home with me yet. This pic gives me new inspiration though!

It’s interesting you bring this up because quite honestly I have been lusting for a pair of Loubie Swarovski high tops which I think are about 2.5-3K. What’s holding me back? I think it’s because I have not quite embraced the sneaker dress look. I’,m not a young 21 year old thing, LOL so I don’t know if I can pull it off. And then there’s my dilemma about what kind of dress? I don’t think my sexy Roberto Cavalli dress style is going to work, so then what? A flowy floral? I am truly confused. StylishSheba as for your looks, these are fabulous! I would love to hear from some European fashionistas, as the bad rap we get is that Americans wear ‘running shoes’ with everything! Have Europeans embraced the new look. I’ll be honest the only sneakers I have worn are my high top converse, and only with a capri- length black sporty knit pant (Vince I think) or lululemon! I think I need to learn from you girls and just start wearing them, I did buy a pair but the only place they have made it is the gym, ugghhhh!
Fabulous thread girl, thanks! Any advice is welcome. I know chiara ferragni can pull off my dream look, but not quite sure PurseBop has it in her https://instagram.com/chiaraferragni/
I see girls rocking sneakers in the airport with their Chanel back packs, and I LOVE… maybe you guys have convinced me, it’s time!

Chucks are always chic! When I was in Europe, I saw women of all ages wearing the Adidas Stan Smiths and the Superstars in white or black or Converse and always looked really put together. It’s a simple shoe and practical for all the walking and they are more “lifestyle” shoes and not “running” or “athletic” shoes that Americans wear so badly, I think – lol. Adidas has such a presence in Europe and they really looked cool with all these different outfits. I’m not much of a flowy floral dress girl either, so I’ve worn my sneaks with more knit, simpler skirts and dresses. I’ll do a photo of a “Parisian lady” outfit with sneaks soon and see what y’all think. ??

I agree with you PurseBop, I am also not a young 21 year old anymore and these are usually my looks for play dates or the park which aren’t exactly a fashion event, but I still want to look decent! I think they will definitely be good for travel too when you walk around all day (and now that you have mentioned the Chanel backpack, can you please use your influence and get Karl to bring these back for another season as I missed out on one). And Sapphiresandscotch is right, Chucks are always a good look!

Here’s an outfit with my skinnies and Air Scandal mids. I think mids are harder to outfit bc they look more sporty whereas your Chanel white/gold lows are easier.

Ah sorry StylishSheba, I just saw this, lol. Love your pix and you are on point! And I say yes to cool sneakers like this with most things – casual dresses, mini and midi skirts, shorts and jeans! ??????

fabulous girl, love it! Teach me to pull this off :) OH and is this the Ricky?
-
Yes, this is her! The basic cuoio tan with silver hardware. My sort of “everyday” bag – see how the handles have darkened up?! The patina she has gotten is amazing. ?
-
This is a great outfit Sapphireandscotch. I have to admit that like PurseBop on my first look I was too distracted by the great Ricky to pay attention to the sneakers and jeans combination!
