YSL’s spring advertising campaign was already turning heads, but it now appears that France’s advertising watchdog, The Autorité de Régulation Professionnelle de la Publicité (ARPP), has pulled the billboards entirely. Those opposing the billboards argued that they were “demeaning” and, based on the thinness of the models, “encouraging anorexia.” What do you all think, were these images out of line or should YSL be able to present their brand how they see fit?
