Hello Boppers! I just got an email from my SA in the Paris Sevres store informing me of the new colors! I’m sure some of you may already be aware, but wanted to share!!! The new colors for leather are as follows –
Bleu Nuit
Prunoir (Dark Prune, literally. It’s a very dark, brown based purple)
Glycine (Wisteria – a very lovely lavender)
Poppy Orange (prolly looks like it’s says! If it’s really a true poppy color, it’ll be insanely pretty)
Bleu Atlantique
I haven’t seen the swatches in person of course, and she said that the poppy orange and the Bleu Atlantique are coming out “again,” so it’s not a brand new color. I have seen pictures of Nuit and Prunoir from the past online, so these seem like re-releases as well, but I could be wrong. I am def not an expert by any means. The Wisteria seems like the true “new” color and for that I am excited because while I mostly like brights and vivids, this will undoubtedly be amazing amd I have always liked variations of this color. Get excited everyone! The last color release was kinda meh in my opinion, although Atoll and Colvert were both nice. Thoughts?!

New Hermes Fall/Winter 2018/19 Colors:
Zellige – a blue most similar to Blue Zanzibar
Blue Royal – slighter brighter than Blue Electric but not like Hydra
Blue Encre – slighter brighter than Blue Sapphire, something of a blend between Blue Electric and Blue Sapphire
Apricot – similar to classic orange, with a hint of yellow
Vert Cypress – rich dark green, think hunter green or deep forest green
Rose d’ été – somewhere between rose confetti and bubblegum pink

@tkloves is the first in our community to share more photographs of magnolia pink. She took the time to snap a few photographs for our curious minds. According to her descriptions to me over the phone she describes it as softer and less “in your face” than RP. It’s bright but not as bold as Rose Pourpre. @tkloves found this to be her preference of the two.
I know from personal experience how difficult it is to capture RP’s natural hue in store lights. So I think we must assume the same for Magnolia. In these photos it does look very similar to RP and I guess till we get a side by side comparison it may be tricky to ascertain the distinct differences!
In this first photo I do think I can feel the lighter tone of pink, my guess is this is more pink, and less purple in comparison to RP. Both beautiful, unfortunately it may be too similar for both in ones collection but never say never ?
Special thanks to @tkloves for sharing her birkin 30 with us and a very hearty congrats on the addition of your new beauty!

Colors for SS18 are being reported as
Bleu Brighton -neutral true blue
Capucine -vibrant orangey red
Magnolia – bright pink purple
Azur- softer blue
Amber – blonde yellow
Celeste Blue – pale candy blue, soft sky blue.
Magnolia, a bright saturated pink! Seems similar to Rose Pourpre but more pink than RP’s strong purple undertone ?
Second photo Rose Pourpre from @cloudcolorzz
Third photo possibly Amber ?

Hermes F/W 2017 Update:
Rose Extreme: Strawberry red, very saturated and bright. I saw the color today. See picture below ?
Rose Pourpre: Similar to Tosca from picture I saw.
Gris Ashpalt – going to be the IT Hermes color ??
Vert Vertigo: Not as bright as Bamboo but brighter than Malachite. Very pretty.
Beton: grayish white with a hint of yellow.
Bordeaux: Deep red with brownish tone. See pictures below.
Rose Shocking: might only be chèvre SLG’s
Lime: Bright yellow with hints of lime
Blue Electric: dark cobalt blue
Pictures:
#1 Gris Ashpalt swift CDC compared to Etoupe in swift.
#2 Gris Ashpalt swift compared to Etoupe in Togo.
According to my SA Gris Ashpalt is slightly darker than Gris Tourterelle. It was gorgeous in swift & GHW. I think it will be beautiful with PHW too, modern and clean.
#3 Gris Ashpalt CDC swift
#4 Rose Extreme epsom & swift
#5 Lime – maybe Mariah Carey just got lime at FSH while in Paris ? (thanks @stylishsheba for the tip ??)

I love the bolide’s simplicity. It doesn’t shout Hermes, but at the same time it portrays elegance and style.

Hey Boppers!
I’m so excited to share with you my new Hermes addition!
Many weeks ago I was collecting a few pieces from my local Hermes store and my lovely SM had two swatches aside to show me….Blue Zanzibar and Malachite. She asked my thoughts on the colours and if I’d be interested in a Verso Birkin 30 that was due to arrive this season (from what I’ve been told Hermes have produced a limited number of these bags in size 30 and 35, my local store was only receiving the size 30).
Fast forward and I received the call on Friday to say that my blue beauty had arrived…. I could not wait to see it for real and I wasn’t disappointed!
Here are some photos….. excuse my poor photography skills but I’ve tried to capture the real colour as best I can :) the blue is really vibrant whilst the green is dark. Oh and the leather is Togo :)

mrs_ledeme welcome to Boptalk and a hearty congrats on this verso beauty. Stunning combo
Thanks for sharing, I am eager to share your B with our readers.I saw the gris mouette/blue agate version in a B35 when I purchased my Gris Mouette B30. They really are a special treat. I have heard there is a gold/rouge grenat (or burgundy maybe?) version too. I am curious how many variations Hermes will produce and for how long! Oh Hermes – why do we all love you so ????
-
Thank you so much ????
Oh the other colour combinations sound amazing too I’d love to see! Gris Mouette is a fantastic colour. -
What a beautiful color combination!! Use it in good health! X
-

I had the pleasure of spending time at the Hermes boutique here in New Delhi and taking another close look at the fall colors. I will share pictures here. One of my favorites was the rouge tomate (vibrant red) & the blue paon (peacock blue).

Thank you so much for the photo dear PurseBop!! I was too nervous to ask my SA to snap photos of the swatches, lol! So nice to look at these for reference.

Ok so I got overexcited and posted too early, lol. I went over to my local boutique and saw the swatches. There’s a bunch more colors like LeOrangeBliss said and I forget that the swatches come in whatever finish they will make, so for example, in Swift leather they will do Bleu Nuit, red poppy, and Bleu St. Cyr, which looked like a shade darker than this past seasons Atoll. I saw Glycine and it was a very dull, neutral light mauve – mostly tan based. Very disappointed in that one! The two Rose colors she mentioned below looked nice for girls who like pink – I am not one, however! Anyway, this post wasn’t too popular so I’m assuming most Boppers who are into Hermes already knew this info and it’s not as informative if you can’t physically see them anyway! Live and learn! ?????

Oh yay!! Yes, I was hoping there was maybe more. I knew if anyone would know, it would be you, dear!!! I’m def not a color expert but I got excited about the email, lol!!

Thank you sapphireandscotch! I am such an Hermes bag newbie so I’m still getting used to the color/leather names? It’s all really confusing and hard to keep up with – reminds me of French class in school.
- BoyWithTheBag replied 9 years ago

At least you had the sense to take French! I took many years of Latin. It was interesting, but not practical! ??. You should really get into the world of orange boxes!!! Thier men’s items are to die. I want a briefcase so bad, lol – no clue what I would use it for, but they are still amazing!! Plus, you are one of the few men who could pull off a nice Birkin 40!! ??????
-
Yes but I forgot all my French apart from curse words and bonjour! Latin.. say no more?? I’m really into Hermes’ men’s clothes, slowly building my collection. My favorite piece by far is my cashmere coat.. just to die for. The men’s bags however are boring? I do love a Birkin but I think it’s too much of a handbag for my style. A Kelly however, I’m plotting one for this year. Since it doubles as a breifcase and shoulder bag I think it would fit perfectly into my style. Hopefully my SA is kind to me?
-
You will definitely rock it StyledGuy!
-
Agree with Miss LeOrangeBliss! You can totally rock a Kelly!!!
-
hahaha same here StyledGuy!!! Too many names to know by heart hahaha
