New York City is about to get a dash of Hermès magic this fall with Petit h. From October 11 to 26, 2024, Maison Madison 706 will transform into a playful, city-inspired wonderland, with conceptual artist Lucia Hierro reimagining everyday New York elements like fire escapes and street signs as a backdrop for Hermès’ upcycled creations.
For those unfamiliar with Petit h, it’s all about reinvention. Founded in 2010, the atelier takes leftover materials—leather, silk, porcelain—and transforms them into unexpected, functional art pieces. Scraps from iconic Hermès items, like Kelly bags, find new life as whimsical bento boxes adorned with leather fried eggs or dog-shaped side tables wrapped in leather. Petit h embodies sustainability while staying true to Hermès’ standard of craftsmanship and ingenuity.
For Hermès lovers in NYC, you’re in luck. Visitors can not only explore these imaginative creations but also tap into their own creativity at the Petit h Craft Workshop. It’s a chance to create a unique, wearable accessory using Hermès materials.
Be sure to reserve your spot at the Petit h workshop, running from October 11 to 26. With limited spaces available for each session, don’t wait too long to book — reserve your spot here!
Whether you’re wandering through the exhibition or crafting your own piece, Petit h invites you to see the magic in reimagining the familiar.
