If you’re a handbag enthusiast, a regular in the fashion community, or simply someone who stays up-to-date with the latest trends, you’ve probably heard the speculation surrounding The Row’s Margaux bag. Is it really being discontinued, or is it just another fashion rumor?

The Margaux, designed by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, has become a symbol of understated luxury since its debut in 2018. Often hailed as the “new Birkin,” the bag quickly captured the hearts of fashion insiders with its minimalist design and fantastic craftsmanship. Over the years, it has earned a cult following and is now considered one of the most coveted pieces in luxury fashion.

But recently, rumors have been swirling that The Row might be discontinuing the Margaux bag altogether. Fans have noticed that the bag has been sold out across various sizes and colors on The Row’s website, and there’s no waitlist option for future restocks. This, of course, sparked widespread speculation across social media platforms, with influencers fueling the fire by suggesting the bag could be gone for good.
So, is the Margaux really being retired? While The Row has yet to confirm or deny the rumors, there are a few things to consider. It’s possible that the brand is scaling back availability, opting to offer the Margaux only to select, established clients. This would fit into The Row’s ongoing strategy of exclusivity, creating a sense of rarity around its most sought-after pieces. After all, when something is hard to get, it becomes even more desirable, Hermès being the prime example!

For now, we can only speculate. Until The Row (or the Olsens themselves) makes an official announcement, we can only assume the Margaux is just sold out. In the meantime, if you’re hoping to get your hands on a Margaux, there are still a few available atselect online retailers. But don’t wait long – as we’re sure these will sell out fast!
