On Thursday, September 14, 2023, five thieves stormed into the Louis Vuitton boutique located in the Mall at Green Hills, Nashville. The audacious theft took place at around noon and it is reported that the thieves fled the scene with a staggering $40,000 worth of Louis Vuitton merchandise.
According to Metro police, the Louis Vuitton store was forcibly entered by a group of thieves, headed by 43-year-old Michael Parrish, as reported by Metro Police. The group in question consisted of two men and two women. The items targeted and stolen included 7 pairs of LV sunglasses, 14 belts, and 6 handbags, with a combined value of $40,000.
As the thieves attempted to make a hasty exit, further chaos erupted. An older security officer was knocked down by the fleeing suspects, while a second security officer tackled Parrish, managing to restrain him momentarily. However, in the midst of the struggle, the second officer was reportedly assaulted.
Thankfully, Metro Police responded swiftly to the incident and managed to apprehend Michael Parrish, while he was attempting to flee the scene. It was soon revealed that Parrish in fact, has a history of criminal activity – including charges of aggravated robbery, and previous thefts amounting to over $60,000. Unfortunately, the other four thieves escaped the scene.
It has been reported that one of the managers of the Louis Vuitton boutique witnessed the robbery, as well as the assaults, however, no further statements have been made.
