Who says you have to be young to be a Barbie doll? Certainly not 96 year young Iris Apfel, an international fashion icon, who really hit her stride in her 80s and 90s. Mattel has fashioned a Barbie doll after her . . . though, unfortunately, it won’t be available for purchase. If you’re looking for other inspiration, on this month’s International Women’s Day Mattel introduced several new Barbies “sheros” like olympian Chloe Kim, artist Frida Kahlo, Bindi Irwin and more.
