The recently filed lawsuit asserts that Agapov discovered several of her valuable items missing from their shared room in Founders’ Hall. A revelation followed the initial discovery. . .Agapov requested that Fung open her account on The RealReal, revealing several items Fung was allegedly in the process of selling, including a $4,000 Chanel handbag, a $3,000 Celine tote, and an 18-karat ring valued at nearly $24,000.

Unfortunately, by the time Agapov intervened, some items had already been sold. According to reports, a Chanel bracelet fetched $175, and a Bvlgari necklace sold for $2,485. The lawsuit notes these prices were significantly below their market values, with the bracelet valued at $2,000 and the necklace at about $13,000.

Additionally, Fung had allegedly sold several other items, including a Gucci handbag, Christian Louboutin shoes, and another Celine handbag, though these were reportedly later returned to her.

The legal proceedings escalated with Fung’s arrest on May 2 on charges of grand larceny. Despite efforts to reclaim the stolen goods, including a visit to The RealReal’s New York City location where Fung’s mother’s involvement was alleged, Agapov maintains that the items have not been returned.

In response to inquiries, NYU emphasized the rarity of such incidents among students and condemned theft within their community. Meanwhile, The RealReal confirmed cooperation with law enforcement and reiterated their strict policies against listing stolen items.
