Hello Boppers! I am by no means a BopTalk Celebrity like so many of you fabulous ladies and gents, but lovely PurseBop suggested I share my trip to Paris here! My collection is rather small, but I’m proud of it and I revealed two of my most favorite bags on this trip on IG. I of course went to the lovely H store that overlooks the sea in Monte Carlo and it was really lovely. My husband had ordered the anemone Kelly Double Tour bracelet on the French website and had it sent there for us to pick up on our trip. For those who don’t know, the French H website has some really nice items that are not available in the U.S. and it is much cheaper of course. H is wise to foreign shoppers of course, and does not allow things to be picked up in any of the Paris stores. We are also fortunate enough to have a French credit card and shipping address, so for those of you who have friends who live in Paris, ask them to help you out!
My experience with the FSH H flagship left much to be desired – I’ve been once and it was nice, but this time I was borderline appalled. The conduct of the “women” (certainly not ladies and my one year old behaves better….) in line outside one morning was off putting to say the least. In no exaggeration whatsoever, they just short of physically accosted the employees in the bag area, running through the store when the doors were opened. I of course had heard of this, but witnessing it was insane. I have worked in luxury retail for a long time and felt truly sorry for the lovely employees who had to try and maintain order. Although I was about tenth in line and had a specific SA I was looking for (was busy the day before) – she already seemed tired and annoyed at 10:40 am and barely smiled and of course had no Kelly for me ?. I was carrying my BE swift Kelly and wearing my BE croc CDC items – could have charged admission, the looks and whispers I got! It was weird, lol. I’m also not used to having to work with multiple SAs in a store because they are assigned to each area and more or less have to stay there. I get that, but in a luxury environment I as a customer want to develop a relationship and a nice familiarity with one person who can assist me with all my needs. We ordered a bamboo Kelly DT bracelet and got a hole punched in a belt strap I brought and we went on our merry way.
So, we visited the Sevre store in the 6th, and if you Boppers have not been, I highly recommend it. The employees are freer to assist you, no lines, and a general calm feeling throughout this amazing building Hermes bought most of and turned the existing hotel into one of the most beautiful and fashion forward stores of any brand in any city. We scored a lovely SA who assisted me in a croc watch band, a scarf for my hubs, and the longest sterling Farandole. We visited two days in a row, but no Kelly. I’m confident we will eventually get there though, and look forward to building a purchase history there.
Made a stop at Goyard, (reveal when my hubs picks it up in late June!) and the St. Germain LV which is newer and absolutely amazing. Calm, luxurious feel without all the hubbub. A lovely SA there assisted us with a scarf I had been coveting and we left my train case there to be monogrammed! I also recommend this store to assist you in this process. The money we saved shopping was unprecedented and although I did not make Chanel a priority on this trip, I will visit Rue Cambon soon. My hubs scored my red mini chevron flap bag before the price increase and surprised me with it in April – I revealed it on this trip as well! All in all, despite no Kelly, I really had a nice shopping trip and encourage Boppers to share their recent trips here with us! Thanks for listening – hopefully the next trip to FSH will be less frazzled, but I am going to stick with the Sevre store to build a European purchase history! ????

What fabulous pictures my friend & thank you for sharing your experiences with us here on BopTalk! Sorry your FSH visit was so disappointing. Sadly, you are not the first I have heard this from. But you must be thrilled with all your goodies. Something special is going to happen tonight/early morning with your post that I am excited about :) Stay close dear ❤️

I really enjoyed reading about your experience with FSH. Do you know if any of those lined up before you were able to buy a Birkin or a Kelly despite their rudeness? Every time I travel overseas, I dutifully line up at the H store and request a Birkin (just to see the response) but have only ever gotten them from my store at home. I heard they have them readily available in Paris but I had no luck there either a few years back.

Honestly, everyone got turned away from what I saw – serves them right! The SA I requested the first day we went was busy but I saw her assisting a family and brought out a Gris Perle Birkin 30 for her and then another non-descript bag of a similar color. I couldn’t tell if the girl passed on it or not, but I got the feeling she must have wanted a shade of that nature. Most of the good success stories I’ve heard is that someone goes multiple days in a row, waits in line every time (even if you request an SA) and you simply get lucky! I live in a large U.S. City but our H store is smaller and you have to have quite a hefty purchase history to even get offered a B or a K and they really don’t get allotted very many for the year. But I really enjoyed the Sevre location and the French H stores get shipments usually around midday and it’s always random days – there could only be one B or K delivered in a given week. Such a crapshoot! Haha. Thanks so much for the feedback! I was hoping the review wasn’t too negative, lol.

I didn’t think your review was too negative at all. Anyone who has dealt with the brand has felt frustration at some point! It is always part of the experience seeing how other customers act once they have caught the Birkin fever too. Thanks for the tip about the midday drop off, if I am in Paris again soon, I will keep this in mind.

I love your advises! I will take them and I agree about the lack of respect during the lines at the main location in Paris, they pushed to get into de store and yelled to the SA, not nice. I just discovered your page and I am in love with your items, style
and your personality!!!!!

Thanks so much love!!! That really means a lot! It is such a lovely store and really everyone was as nice as they could be considering the circumstances. But I loved all the luxury that is going on in the 6th – it’s really fabulous! I love your page as well! ?
