Fashion editors are declaring that it’s the year of Bottega Veneta. Though we haven’t heard much on the Italian luxury brand lately—and instead have seen lots of press on bags like the Dior Saddle Bag and Fendi Baguette—Bottega Veneta’s new bag has apparently become the “It” Bag of the summer.
Under new Creative Director Daniel Lee, who was previously at Céline, the fashion house is making a huge comeback on the international fashion scene. According to InStyle, the brand’s The Pouch bag has “completely taken over the entire street style scene.” And it’s not just everyday street style—celebs are biting as well. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Sofia Vergara, Lily Aldridge and others have been spotted with the bag from Bottega Veneta’s Fall 2019 collection. In fact, Huntington-Whiteley has Instagrammed her Pouch a whopping 39 times in three months!
The Pouch is essentially an oversized clutch with buttery leather folds. And it holds quite a lot—since it’s more than fifteen inches long, carrying a tablet and many other essentials isn’t out of the question. Something about the look + functionality has made it an instant hit.
“Every single fashion editor that I know has The Pouch on their wishlist,” writes Alexis Bennett in InStyle. Is it on your wishlist too…? Tell us below.
