Waking up to the news of yet another price increase at Hermès is never a fantastic way to start your day. However, that’s certainly the reality of luxury shopping, and one we’re all too familiar with!
It was only recently in February 2023, that we were impacted by the US price increase for small leather goods and bags. The news of the latest Hermès price hike landed overnight on May 15, 2023. This time around, shoes from the French fashion house have been affected by the rising prices.

As a result, prices for Hermès fan favorites, including the Oran, Oasis, and Chypre sandals, and Paris loafers have all risen. Sandal styles have certainly taken the biggest hit during this price increase. These much-loved and highly sought-after styles have increased by 3-11% in price.
The coveted Chypre sandals in classic leather have risen 11% to $810, and the all-shearling variation has increased by 3%. Meanwhile, the shearling and leather mix has risen by 9%. It’s certainly a mixed bag!
The timeless Oran sandals have unfortunately increased to $700, for the classic calfskin – that’s a 6% increase.
These sandal are a celeb favorite and seen on many Bravo Housewives and influencers, like Sofia Richie and Tamara.
Meghan Markle escaped this recent Oran price increase as she was seen on Mother’s Day, the day before the price increase, with the Gold Orans.
Oasis Sandals have been impacted too. This classic heeled sandal has risen to $770 – a 3% rise in price.
The classic Hermès Paris Loafers have also been affected. The chic loafers are now up by 4.8%
It’s not all bad news. Thankfully, some of the Hermès shoe collection has escaped the rising prices. Currently, the timeless styles including the Groupie Mule, Elysee 70 Pump, and Galerie Sandal remain unaffected.
