Winter… is so last season. Our eyes are on Spring, or more accurately Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2023 Pre-collection, which dropped into boutiques and online January 24th. If we had to pick any one theme it would be pink, pink, and more pink in virtually every style.
But no shade if that’s not your shade. Options include brights like green and red, as well as the classic neutrals – black, white, and metallic. Moreover, pretty much all of your favorite styles are here – classic and non-classic flaps, mini flap with top handle, Chanel 19, Chanel 22, crescent-shaped hobos, shopping totes, backpacks, and vanity cases.
As is typical of Chanel… there’s likely something for everyone! Especially if you like pink.

Did We Say Pink?
Truly, this collection is a pink lover’s dream. No doubt top hits will be the pink mini flap with top handle and the pink backpack, both in leather.

But there’s much more. A dark pink hobo, a mini flap in tweed, even the Chanel 22 has a sweet pink version.

And if pure pink isn’t your passion, Chanel is mixing colors, combining green, black, and/or beige with the rosy hue.

Even the fabric shopping tote has a pink presence, albeit with blue pinstripes. This one is also available in black with white striping, perhaps a nod to baseball team uniforms.

Chanel 22 Leans into 2023
Casual and, according to Chanel, metropolitan, last year’s Chanel 22 hobo style is updated in denim as well as silver, gold, green, and pink leather. A backpack version also is available – in pink and silver. Whichever way you go, you’ll never be without your necessaries.

Camera Bags
Say cheese… Although unlikely to carry a camera other than one’s phone, Chanel shows two versions of a camera bag. One multi pocketed in black with a leather strap, and another multi-color mini-sized with an enameled Chanel. Either way, you’re insta ready.

Bucket Bags and Hobos
And now for something a little different, at least not classically Chanel… there are bucket bags and hobos. Make no mistake, however, these styles include Coco’s classic codes of leather-laced chains, quilted leather, double CC logo, and more.

What's Missing?
Lastly, let’s mention what is missing – there don’t seem to be any evening bags from this collection. And, in case you’re curious, there’s a reason we didn’t provide the prices on these bags. Virtually overnight… the numbers disappeared from the Chanel site which could mean prices are going up. Community members are reporting a 5-8% increase on some seasonal bags. Stay tuned.
