Chanel has us looking forward to brighter days with the launch of its Spring-Summer 2025 Pre-Collection. Combining signature Chanel codes with a touch of 90s nostalgia, the 25P collection lands in boutiques on January 22 — just in time to chase away the winter blues.

The 25P handbag collection offers a fresh take on Chanel’s much-loved styles, including reimagined versions of the Classic Mini Flap Bag, Chanel 22, and Chanel 31 bags. It also introduces slouchy hobo silhouettes and practical backpacks, blending timeless Chanel vibes with everyday functionality. Bold black-and-white designs make a statement, while soft pastel hues inspired by summer sunsets—think shades of yellow, pink, and orange — add a dreamy, seasonal touch.

Classic Handbags

Chanel’s latest Classic 11.12 Handbag looks good enough to eat, reimagined in Pink and Multicolor tweed for a playful, almost funfetti-like aesthetic. Finished with complimentary gold-tone hardware, this regained classic captures the spirit of spring.

Offering a similar colorful appeal, Chanel’s Mini Classic Handbag has a spring in its step in White, Blue, and Pink tweed. Measuring 4.7 by 7.9 by 2.4 inches, this mini version is complemented by Light Pink leather and gold-tone hardware.

Mini Flap Bags in Calfskin

It’s a caviar lover’s delight as Chanel brings back a calfskin leather Mini Flap Bag. The new Flap Bags are undoubtedly a highlight of Chanel’s 25P collection. Crafted from shiny-grained calfskin, this design pays homage to the now-discontinued Mini Handbag in caviar leather.

These bags retain iconic features such as the CC turn-lock, chain shoulder strap, and internal pocket while incorporating seasonal updates. A key addition is the intricate CC-adorned top handle chain, paired with a detachable long chain shoulder strap, allowing for versatile styling. The design also includes an extended back pocket, rather than the ‘Mona Lisa Smile’ design, providing easy access to essentials.

The Mini size measures 5.1 x 7.1 x 2.2 inches, mirroring the dimensions of the Classic Mini Handbag in the square size. For those needing more room, the Small Flap Bag offers larger dimensions at 5.5 x 8.7 x 2.6 inches. This Small size is just a touch smaller than Chanel’s Small Classic Flap but larger than the Classic Mini Rectangle. Available in a range of shades, the Flap Bag comes in Black, Dark Beige, White, Light Orange, Light Pink, and Navy.

Other Flap Bags

Black and white (or white with black) is classic Chanel, and 25P leans into that. First up, is the Flap Bag in Black lambskin with White piping. Accented with gold-tone hardware, this design measures 6.5 x 9.3 x 2.6 inches and offers a spacious interior thanks to its single-flap design.

The Flap Bag is also available in White with Black accents.

Offering a classic look with a touch of seasonal flair, the Small Flap Bag with Top Handle is crafted from quilted lambskin. Reminiscent of the Chanel Kelly Bag, it features a flap top secured with a CC turn-lock and is adorned with brushed gold-tone hardware for a vintage vibe. Measuring 4.5 x 8.7 x 2.4 inches, it is finished with both a chain shoulder strap, a top handle, and four feet on the base. This ladylike bag is available in Light Pink, White, and Black.

Adding a splash of sunshine to the collection, the Small Flap Bag in Light Yellow shiny lambskin is a standout piece. Featuring an east-west design, it measures 4.7 x 8.3 x 2.8 inches. Breaking away from the traditional Chanel chain strap, it features an adjustable snake-like chain in gold tone, offering a unique, jewelry-inspired look. The strap’s buckle-like fastening appears as though the bag could be worn as a chic belt bag – however, this has yet to be confirmed.

Chanel is no stranger to transforming its signature flap bag into a mini size. However, for the 25P lineup, Chanel introduces fresh variations of this iconic design, featuring a range of seasonal styles and finishes.

Sharing the same aesthetic as the 25P Small Flap Bag with Top Handle, this Mini Flap Bag adopts an east-west silhouette. Measuring an elongated 5.5 x 7.9 x 2.2 inches, this quilted lambskin design can be carried by its top handle or worn on the shoulder with its chain strap. Choose from Gray or Black with gold-tone hardware.

If you’re a fan of the new monochrome Flap Bag but prefer more compact proportions, the Mini Flap is a great alternative. Measuring 5.3 x 7.7 x 2.8 inches, its dimensions are reminiscent of the Classic Square Mini Flap bag. Choose from White with Black or Black with White accents.

Another neutral option is the Mini Flap Bag in shiny White lambskin. Measuring 5.5 x 7.9 x 1.8 inches, this elegant design is elevated with a gold-tone statement chain strap adorned with CC medallions and imitation pearls.

If your preference is darker shades, the Mini Flap Bag is also available in Navy and Black lambskin.

Next up is the reinvigorated Chanel 31, introduced in a luxurious suede design for Spring-Summer 25. The Chanel 31 Mini Shopping Bag measures 8.7 x 9.1 x 2 inches and is crafted from a textural blend of suede calfskin and lambskin. Finished with gold-tone hardware, this mini version retains all the signature details of the larger size, including the inbuilt top handle, chain shoulder strap, and turn-lock fastening. The new suede Chanel 31 Mini Shopping Bag in suede and lambskin comes in Black and Light Pink. For those with closets already brimming with mini bags, the 31 Shopping Bag also comes in the classic size, measuring 11.8 x 14.2 x 3.5 inches.

If you’d prefer to avoid delicate suede, there are all-leather versions too in Black, Beige, and Light Pink.

The Chanel 31 also appears again in the Small Leather Goods category, as the Clutch with Chain. Offering an even more miniature silhouette, this petite model measures just 4.7 x 5.1 x 1.6 inches, and comes in Light Yellow and Light Pink shiny lambskin with gold-tone hardware.

Hobo Bags

Practical and chic, Chanel leans into the hobo bag trend with its slouchy offerings. Crafted from shiny lambskin, this bag features a distinctive non-padded Matelassé quilted design. The signature slouch is accentuated by a single top handle, featuring multiple braided chains for a statement detail. Secured with a CC turn-lock fastening, this Hobo Bag is available in three sizes – ranging from Small to Large.

The smallest version, measuring 10.6 x 9.1 x 8.3 inches, comes in Light Yellow and includes a leather tab and clip fastening to secure your essentials. The mid-size, available in Beige, measures 13.8 x 11.8 x 5.5 inches. Finally, the largest size, in Black, measures 14.6 x 11.8 x 5.5 inches and includes a matching detachable pouch for added organization.

Another addition to the collection is the Hobo Handbag in grained calfskin. With an almost satchel-like design, this bag features multiple front pockets secured with press studs and a flap-top fastening with a signature CC turn-lock. The design is finished with a short chain top handle and an adjustable leather shoulder strap, offering the versatility to wear it in multiple ways.

The Hobo Handbag is available in two sizes. The standard size measures 8.3 x 10.6 x 1.8 inches and comes in Black, Navy, Camel, White, and Washed Denim, all paired with gold-tone hardware. The Large Hobo Handbag measures 9.8 x 13.2 x 2.6 inches and is offered in Black, Washed Denim, and Navy.

Bucket Bags

Chanel brings back the Bucket Bag with a vintage-inspired vibe. Crafted from shiny lambskin, this Large Bucket Bag features Matelassé quilting, a signature CC charm detail, and ‘CHANEL’-branded press studs that function as both a design element and a fastening. Measuring 11 x 12.2 x 5.9 inches, the bag offers versatility with two shoulder straps – one a classic chain and the other an adjustable leather strap.

The Large Bucket Bag is available in Black with either gold or silver-tone hardware.

Similar to the Bucket Bag from the same collection, this new Tote Bag features the same press-stud design details and fastening, along with a signature CC charm and chain straps. Measuring 8.7 x 15.4 x 5.5 inches, the Small Tote is available in White shiny lambskin with gold-tone hardware.

And then there’s the Small Tote, an elegant design that reimagines the traditional tote bag style. With a structured body reminiscent of the reissued Chanel Kelly bag, this piece measures 6.7 x 8.7 x 3.1 inches. The true standout, however, is the bar top handle, embellished with imitation pearls. Appearing as an extension from the top handle is a delicate chain shoulder strap. This chic new design is available in Black shiny lambskin with gold-tone hardware.

Backpacks

Backpacks continue to be a functional yet chic choice for the summer, and Chanel offers several this season.

Chanel’s Classic Mini Backpack gets the sleek So Black treatment for the 25P collection. Constructed from soft quilted lambskin, this compact design measures just 7.1 x 5.1 x 3.5 inches – closely resembling that of the Hermès Kelly Jump backpack. Its adjustable shoulder straps allow for versatile wear – whether styled as a backpack, slung over the shoulder, or worn crossbody. Practical yet chic, the bag features a convenient front pocket and secure zip top fastening.

It offers the same proportions as the above, with two options to choose from – Black lambskin with White piping details or White with Black accents – both paired with gold-tone hardware.

Another option is a design we’ve seen reimagined time and time again. Crafted from grained calfskin, this Backpack is inspired by the vintage Duma design and features Chanel’s signature pocket detailing and flap top secured by a drawstring and signature CC fastening. Measuring a compact yet practical 6.5 by 6.9 by 3.9 inches, the bag is equipped with two adjustable shoulder straps featuring chain detailing, allowing for classic backpack wear.

Choose from the summery Light Yellow shade, or classic Black, White, and Beige.

Vanity Bags

This collection includes a range of Vanity Bags – some new, some old, some reimagined in summer-ready colorways.

Chanel revisits its Long Vanity with Chain in fresh colorways for 25P – choose from Black, Light Pink, and Light Yellow grained calfskin. This east-west style bag measures 6.7 x 7.7 x 2 inches and features a zip-around fastening, top handle, and oversized CC emblem.

For something a little extra, there’s the Small Vanity Case in Black shiny lambskin. Featuring an imitation pearl embellished top handle and shoulder strap, this Small Vanity Case measures 6.7 x 7.1 x 2.8 inches. With a zip fastening, the bag opens to reveal a red lining reminiscent of the Classic Flap. Finished with a top handle, and chain shoulder strap it can be styled in multiple ways.

There are many other vanity options as well – including several Vanity with Chain designs, with dimensions of 3.7 x 6.7 x 3.1 inches. All feature a zip top fastening and quilted leather, but styles vary – some feature top handles, while others have chains embellished with camellias. Available in summer-ready shades like White, Light Yellow, and Light Pink, as well as classic Black.

Clutches

Part of Chanel’s Black and White lineup for 25P is the barrel-like Clutch with Chain. Featuring an on-trend elongated east-west cylindrical silhouette, the clutch measures 4.5 x 7.3 x 4.3 inches and is secured with a zip-top fastening. The Clutch with Chain can be carried under the arm, by hand, or on the shoulder thanks to its double chain shoulder strap.

Available in three variations – Black with White details, White with Black accents, both in lambskin leather or a grained calfskin version in Black or Light Pink.

Expanding the monochrome collection is the perfectly petite Clutch with Chain. Measuring just 3.3 by 4.5 by 1.6 inches, it holds only a few essentials like cards, and perhaps a lipstick or AirPods. With a CC press-stud fastening — there’s no room for a turn-lock here — this tiny clutch is paired with a long chain shoulder strap. For those who missed the coveted ‘Chanel Pearl On’ bag from the Spring-Summer 2019 collection, there’s a new embellished design to get excited about. Falling under the Evening Bag category, the new Flap Bag measures 5.1 x 8.3 x 3.1 inches — closely resembling the size of the original Mini Rectangle Flap Bag. Adorned with imitation white pearls throughout, this intricately detailed bag features gold-tone hardware.
