Community Member's Recent Paris Shopping Experience at Hermès
In early May a longtime devoted community member @fnch310 traveled to Paris on a girls trip. Scoring a quota bag was not a priority during this trip since her SA in the U.S. had hinted about a “good” bag for Mother’s Day. She shares her experience here to emphasize that just being kind may get you more than you expected. Enjoy her story and stay until the end. You will be glad you did.

Some of you have asked me if I got any bags from my Paris trip. The answer is no. I don’t have a SA in Paris. I did try the online appointment system a couple of times, but no luck. I go to Paris to enjoy the food and buy other brands, other than Hermes.
While I was at the Sevres store, I decided to go to the leather appointment desk to see if there was a cancellation. The person behind the desk said no cancellations. Did you try the online appointment system. I said yes but no luck. He looked at me and I smiled. I said I understand. Thank you. Maybe next time. Then he said give me your passport. I thought hmmm….
He typed my passport information on his device. He said I see that you tried a couple of times, but there are a couple of days that you didn’t try. I said I forgot. He said I also see that you did not try today. I said I am leaving tomorrow. He then said ok, wait here, please find a seat nearby. I thought okayyyyy.
After waiting 10-15 minutes, he secretly waved at me to come over. There was another woman sitting across from me who was waiting longer than me. I thought did he skip her?
He introduced me to a leather associate. Honestly, at this point I was more scared than excited because if this SA offered me a quota bag and I accept it my SA at home will not be able to offer me the “good” bag she is trying to get for me.
The leather SA asked me what I was looking for. Since Kelly Pochette is not a quota bag in my home store, I requested a Kelly Pochette. I looked at her, she looked at me. She asked anything else??? I thought ughh… maybe a Birkin 25? I told her the colors and hardware I was looking for. She went away and returned with nothing. She said I’m sorry, but we don’t have anything that you are looking for. I said that’s ok. Thank you anyway. She then asked again if there was anything else I was looking for. I said maybe a Constance 18 with palladium hardware? She left and returned with another box with a verso Bolide 25 I believe. Since I already have a mini Bolide I thanked her and left.
Then I decided to look at some jewelry to put on my wishlist so I walked over to the jewelry section and they found a SA to help me.
After trying on the ring I thanked the SA and was getting ready to leave. She asked if I got a leather appointment. I said yes but they did not have anything I wanted. She asked, do you have a Kelly or Constance to Go? I said no. She asked if I would like one. I said sure it would be a nice souvenir from Paris but only with palladium hardware. She went away and returned with a box.
Most people only post successful stories, but I want to be honest about my experience. The SA’s at the leather appointment desks get terrorized by rude clients every day. I believe if you are nice and respectful they will try to squeeze you in if it is possible.
There was another woman I witnessed being loud and not very nice. I heard her say loudly how she tried many times online, but no luck. The SA at the appointment desk said I am sorry, but we have nothing available so you should keep trying the online appointment system. He did not try to squeeze her in like he did for me.
The take away is just be nice. And if that still does not work try going to the fine jewelry section and try on a ring or two and you may get offered a Kelly to Go also.
When I arrived home from Paris my SA contacted me from my home boutique. She said she had something special for me for Mother’s Day. It all worked out for the best since I received my first Blue Box offer.
Best of luck to everyone traveling to Paris. But if you do not score in Paris your SA at home just might have something better waiting for you upon your return.

So tired of these fake stories of insta influencers 😂oh try be nice…oh people so rude there and I’m so polite and that’s why they squeezed me 😅 wake up people there’s 1000 polite nice people refused every day and all these stories of easy getting appointment is total lie, she’s either bought this ring and after of course get appointment or bought ready to wear. Sevres is the worst boutique ever and never gives you anything for free
