Dear So Black Hermès Bags,

Hermès launched a limited edition collection of Birkin and Kelly bags known as the So Black in 2010, designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier. Identified by their black hardware, black leather, black dust bag, and black box, they were hugely popular and produced in very limited quantity. They have not been reintroduced by Hermès since 2010.

Although extremely rare, the only place to secure a So Black Birkin or Kelly currently would be on the secondary market either from an auction house such as Heritage Auctions or a trusted reseller like Fashionphile. Prices for these bags may be extremely high, given their iconic status and limited availability.
