Can I Start a New Hermès Profile Under My Name in Paris if My Profile at my Home Store is Under My Husband's Name?

Dear PurseBop:

I’m fairly certain my Hermès profile is under my husband’s name at my home store. Could I get quota bags in Paris if I put them under my name (we have different last names). I’m heading to Paris again and I’m curious about that and the lottery system. My first quota bag came from FSH without an appointment and I would like to try again. Thanks!

Dear Separate Hermès Profiles:

Beginning in approximately July, 2022 Hermès Paris started the process of linking their profiles with the U.S. and other countries around the world. The purpose of linking profiles is to insure that clients do not receive more than 2 quota bags per year.

However, if your profile in your home boutique is under your husband’s name you should be able start a new profile under your name in Paris. The profiles will not be linked and you are free to build your profile and try to obtain a leather appointment and quota bag while in Paris under your name.

Be aware that your spend profile in Paris is not visible and not linked to your profile at your home store. Only the purchase of quota bags in Paris can be seen by your home store, and Paris can see what quota bags you receive in your home store under your name as well.

To obtain a leather appointment through the lottery system in Paris, apply online every day starting the day you arrive in Paris. The website to apply online is http://www.redezvousparis.hermes.com/client/welcome. The system may only allow you to apply online while you are physically in France.

Good luck and happy shopping in Paris.
