Can You Place a Special Order at Hermès Every Year?

Dear Special Order Hopeful:

At Hermès the rule is one special order per year per person.

Before the Pandemic, special orders were offered to VIP clients who have consistently shown their loyalty to the brand over the years. Some clients were offered the opportunity each year for several years.

However, since the demand has skyrocketed and the supply remains unable to meet the demand, Hermès has changed the rules.

First, they limited special orders to one per person per year.

Second, some boutiques have tried to focus offering the opportunity to loyal clients who have never placed a special order. The idea is to give as many clients the special opportunity as possible.

Third, some (but not all) locations in the U.S. have temporarily suspended the opportunity to place a Special Order during the fall season of 2024. How long this will continue is unknown at this time. We will update as new information is confirmed.
