Dear PurseBop:
Can I ask for 2 bags when I go for my wishlist appointment at Hermès?
Dear Wishlist Client:
Depending what country you are living, the process of placing a wishlist at Hermès varies by location. In our experience, two quota bags will likely never be offered to one client at one appointment.
To be offered one quota bag and one non-quota bag in one visit is very unusual but does occur in Paris.
In general, placing a wishlist with your SA in the U.K. and Europe involves choosing one type of bag, a Birkin or a Kelly. You may then choose two different sizes, three different color choices, and one type of hardware. If your wishlist is fulfilled it will only be for one quota bag. Non-quota bags are offered on a first come, first served basis each day depending on availability.
In the U.S. the usual practice is to text your SA a list of bags you would be interested in receiving. It is best to give options and be flexible but still give your SA a good idea of what you would prefer. It is unlikely that you will receive a quota bag and a non-quota bag in one visit in the U.S. but it is possible.
In Paris, if you receive an online appointment it is possible to be offered one quota bag (a Birkin or a Kelly) and a non-quota bag such as a Picotin, In The Loop, Evelyne, Herbag, Lindy, etc. This is likely the only place you may receive two bags at one appointment.
