I placed a Special Order recently. I understand it may not arrive for a year or more. Although I have an excellent relationship with my SA, am I expected or required to continue to shop and build my profile history during this time period?
Dear Waiting for Special Order to Arrive:
Many people wonder after placing a Special Order if they are expected to keep shopping. The short answer is no you do not have to buy anything else in store before your Special Order arrives. When your bag arrives it will be designated with your name and your SA will contact you that it has arrived. You will then have the opportunity to view the bag and decide whether to accept or pass on the bag.
If you accept the bag payment will be made at that time. If you reject the bag for any reason it will be made available to another client with the manager’s approval.
However, the reality is a client shows their loyalty to the brand and to their SA by shopping in different metier’s within the boutique, making purchases of items they will use or give as gifts. Theoretically, this should not change once a Special Order opportunity is presented. However, it is not a “requirement” of receiving your special creation.
