Question:

Is mini roulis considered a quota bag?

And does the type of quota bags differ from one country to another?

Thank you!

Dear Confused About Quota Bags:

An Hermès quota bag is always a Birkin or a Kelly. However, each individual boutique is able to treat any bag as a quota bag for the purpose of limiting their clients to 2 quota bags per year.

Since the Pandemic, and the increased popularity of all Hermès bags, including quota bags, certain boutiques have treated previously non quota bags as quota bags. It is up to the store director to make that determination.

Bags with “Kelly” in their name such as the Kelly Pochette and Kelly Cut, Kelly Danse, and the Kelly To Go are treated like quota bags in both leather and exotic skins.

The Roulis bag in general has not been considered a quota bag to our knowledge. However, each boutique is able to determine what is treated as a quota bag.

Similarly, the Constance 18 and 24 are generally not considered quota bags, although some locations may consider them a quota bag. Again, each boutique is also able to designate or treat any bag in leather or an exotic skin a quota bag.

These rules may differ from country to country and from boutique to boutique within a country or even city. It is best to ask your local boutique which bags are treated as quota bags.
