Dear PurseBop:
I’ve had a Kelly 28 Sellier in gold on my wish list for about 6 months. At the time, my SA told me that after about 6 months (and having shopped during that time) , depending on availability, I would be able to get one. I shopped there a few months ago and they had one on display which my SA, without me asking, brought out and had me try on (so to speak). Which I thought was really nice, seeing as I didn’t ask because I know the drill. Now I’d like to ask about my wish list item, like will I be offered one soon or what the status would be, but I’m not sure how to approach it. I don’t want to be pushy but I also don’t want to be too quiet that I get lost among other clients. How should’ I start the conversation with my SA?
Dear Waiting for My Wishlist Bag:
Shopping at Hermes requires a lot of patience, this is true. However, your Sales Specialist is also your friend and gateway to all things on your wishlist. It is completely acceptable to approach the subject of the status of your wishlist bag with them at your next visit. They understand the end game of their clients. They expect the questions about the status of being offered a quota bag. Your SA will not think you are being pushy if you bring up the subject in a polite and respectful manner.
A few suggestions on how to approach the subject with your SA on your next visit to the boutique.
Do you think my wishlist bag might arrive this month?
Is there any hope or possibility my wishlist bag could arrive sometime soon?
Do you have a status update on when I might expect a quota bag offer?
Good luck and happy shopping.
