How Do I Get Invited to An Event at Hermès, Chanel, Dior, or Louis Vuitton?

How do I get invited to a new store opening or event at the luxury boutiques where I shop?

As a regular customer of the luxury boutiques in your area, it is exciting to be invited to a special event or store opening. Usually VIP clients, influencers, and friends of the store are invited.

If you regularly shop with one Sales Associate in that store, it is best to communicate with them that you would love to attend the next upcoming event. Ask your SA if there is anything you can do to increase your chances of being invited.

At Hermès invites to special events and new store openings are usually sent from the corporate office in that country. For example, in the U.S. it is our understanding that your SA does not have the ability to recommend their clients. We discovered that if you sign up for the Hermès newsletter on your online account, you have a better chance of being invited to some events.

With respect to store openings, it is always a mystery at Hermès how the guest list is created. It is a good idea to ask your SA if they can request that you be invited if the event or store opening is in your area. If you know the store director or manager you could email them and request an invite. There is no guarantee it will work, but we have heard of invitations being extended from the director of the store.

Unfortunately there is no secret formula. Our best advice is to communicate with your Sales Associate and let them know you would like to attend any upcoming events. In addition, get to know the Store Director or Manager who may have input into who gets invited.
