Question:
I gave my SA my quota bag wishlist in early June 2022, where she told me straight up I will have to spend a certain amount in order to get her managers approval for a Kelly or Birkin. I managed to meet the pre-spend amount in July 2022, and I’m still waiting for that unexpected email or call in August 2022. Instead of just waiting around, is there a polite way to follow up on my wishlist request? Or, should I just trust that my SA will come through for me.
Dear Getting Impatient for a Quota Bag:
Presently in the world of Hermès, most if not all boutiques are experiencing unprecedented low inventory. It is never certain when the bag on your wishlist will appear and you will get that magical notification from your SA. So many factors must occur at the correct time for it to happen.
If your SA told you what you needed to do, then it is very possible that the bag you are hoping for, or something close, has not arrived. We suggest you continue to stay in touch with your SA either in person or via email. Possibly remind your SA of your wishlist and politely ask if anything has come in lately or if they know when it might occur. Acknowledge that you are sure they are looking out for you and your desires, but you just wanted to check in with them. Now, more than ever, being patient is really all you can do.
Trust in your SA and being patient go a long way in this process.
Good luck and happy shopping.
