Is A Kelly 28 or 32 Closer to a Birkin 30 Size?

I haven’t tried any Kelly bags on irl but I find Birkin 30 to be a perfect size for me. Should I aim for a Kelly 28 or 32?

Many people find the Birkin 30 to be the perfect size for everyday use and even to transition from day to evening. We believe you will find the same thing about the Kelly 28 in either Retourne or Sellier.

Honestly, you will likely enjoy either size Kelly in a Retourne style. The Kelly 28 is extremely versatile, while the Kelly 32 is tres chic. Both sizes in the Retourne style hold about as much as the Birkin 30 despite their trapezoidal shape. The Sellier style in the bigger sizes such as a 32 tend to be a tad more boxy and cumbersome if worn next to the body with the shoulder strap. However, if using the top handle it is quite elegant.

Consider asking your SA if they have any sample Kellys to try for size. Alternatively, visit one of the brick and mortar resellers where you may be able to try on the different Kelly sizes.

We believe you will be happy with either a Kelly 28 or 32 but tend to sway more toward the Kelly 28.
