Is It A Good Idea to Use a Handbag Insert for our Hermès Quota Bags?

It is wise to consider protecting the inside of your Hermès or other luxury handbag in the same way we protect the outside of our bags. Hermès sells a soft insert which fits inside most Birkin and Kellys called the Toile Chevron Fourbi. There are no hard edges and there is room for your personal items. The bag insert helps protect the inside of the bag from damage and keeps your personal belongings organized inside the bag.

In addition, be aware that although the Hermès spa is able to repair, refinish, and replace certain items on the outside of the bag, they do not clean, replace, or refinish the interior of any handbag. So protecting the inside is a serious consideration.

Many other companies sell handbag inserts designed for most specific bags and sizes. We are not aware that one is better than another. They seem to be a personal preference among bag lovers.

One thing to be aware of is leaving a bag insert in your soft leather Birkin or similar bag could cause a bulge or deformity in the leather so be sure to remove the bag insert before storing your bag.
