Both a Kelly 25 and a Kelly Pochette are amazing bags to have in your collection. It is very much a personal choice which bag is “better.” They are quite different with respect to size, capacity, how they are worn, and aesthetic.

The Kelly 25, some believe, is the perfect Kelly. Small enough to transition from day to evening, but large enough to hold your essentials plus your phone. Others find it a bit small for their needs and prefer a Kelly 28.

Both the Kelly 25 Retourne and Kelly 25 Sellier are excellent bags that come in a variety of colors and leathers. It will maintain and possibly exceed its orginal retail price over the long term if it is maintained in excellent condition. A Kelly 25 is always a good choice.

A Kelly Pochette has exploded in popularity over that past several years. It is a handheld smaller Kelly bag that does not come with a shoulder strap, as most other Kellys do. It is a great day to evening bag that always looks chic. It primarily is produced in swift leather, but can also be found in lizard skin, or other exotics such as ostrich and crocodile and alligator skin.

The capacity inside the Kelly Pochette is surprisingly spacious for a “Mini Kelly.” It fits most cell phones, a small wallet or card case, keys, glasses in a soft case, minimal make up, and possibly other items.

All Kellys (and other Hermès bags) are extremely difficult to obtain from the boutique. But put them on your wishlist and keep building your relationship with your SA and one is likely to be offered to you in the future.
