I’ve heard it’s inappropriate to show your SA photos of products you’re interested in vs. describing products verbally and by name. Is this true?
Dear Photos of Products:
Each SA operates differently so it is best to ask your SA what they prefer. However, we do not believe it is inappropriate to send photos of products you are interested in to your SA as long as all identifying information is deleted or cropped out before sending. Any manner of communication with your SA is good (either photos or product name or description) as long as it is polite, thoughtful, not demanding, and informative.
Some SA’s actually prefer photos so they know exactly what you are requesting. But there is no rule, to our knowledge, against sending photos. Just be sure it only shows the product and no other information from another source or person. Open communication with your SA is always key.
