Hi. I was wondering if your “spend profile” is with a store or the SA and if it’s overall accumulative from all the years or does it reset? I’m asking because I finally know why my SA ghosted me. She’s no longer there! Do I have to start from scratch with a new SA?
Dear Spend Profile:
This is an excellent question. Your spend profile is both with the store and the SA. It is an overall accumulation of everything you have spent in that store and it does not reset in that location from year to year (at least at the present time).
When your SA leaves your home store, your total spend profile is still intact. However, you must start a new relationship with a different SA who likely has many established clients already. This always presents an imperfect situation. Your new SA will see and honor your spend history. However, when they will be able to offer you a quota bag may be problematic as you are now in line with their existing clients. Usually the SA will work with the manager to insure you are taken care of to the extent it is possible.
If you were expecting a quota bag in the near future from your old SA, definitely have a conversation with your new SA and/or the manager to determine how your new relationship will work going forward. It is an unfortunate situation that many experience, but with open communication with your new SA it should work out in time.
Also, be aware that wait times for a quota bag have become significantly longer in recent years for everyone, so it is possible your quota bag offer may be slightly delayed further.
