My local SA said that SOs this fall was placed on hold for now and that he didn’t know when they would resume. Has anyone else been told this?
Dear Hold All Special Orders:
All Hermès boutiques are operated independently and may institute rules or restrictions that other locations may not impose. We have heard that in the U.S. Special Orders were placed on a temporary hold at the beginning of the Fall, 2024 season. However, it appears that the hold has been lifted at least in some locations.
We are aware that Special Orders are still available to be placed in Paris should the opportunity be offered. We do not know if any other countries experienced a hold on the placement of Special Orders this season.
It is always best to ask your SA any information pertaining to your specific location. They will have the most accurate information at that time. Beware, that things may change without much notice at times so keeping an open line of communication with your SA is always the best advice.
