Dear Curious:
On September 9 and 10, 2024 all U.S. employees of Hermès from every boutique, corporate, and online were invited to attend a company wide retreat. It was held in Palm Desert, California at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa in the heart of the desert. We were told that Hermès took over the entire hotel. Aproximately 1200 people attended. It was not mandatory to attend. Everyone felt appreciated and they had a great time.
It was an opportunity to get together, bond, relax, and enjoy their time away from the workplace. All retail boutiques, corporate offices, and online services were closed on September 9 and 10.
The last event for all employees was held before Covid in New York City.
