We binge-watched so you don’t have to. Just kidding, we know you are going to watch the new season too! So here’s your watch-along guide to some of the most stunning bags in the just dropped third season of Emily in Paris. C’est magnifique!
The show begins right where the cliffhanger from Season Two left off. Don’t worry, we won’t spoil the story for those not yet caught up. While there aren’t many Hermès bags on the show, Emily does debut a brand-new Birkin… Birkin bangs, that is!
And Emily is just like us! She tries out the fancy McDonalds on the Champs-Élysées that we wrote about in our Hermès Paris Appointment System article.
As for handbags, Emily has curated a fairly eclectic collection, much like many in the PurseBop community. Of course although there are some big name designer bags in her (and her friends’) ensembles, the costume designer, Marylin Fitoussi, branched out brandwise. She wanted to highlight new designers as well as thrift shop options- perhaps more reflective of a realistic shopping budget.
Never without her Awaccy iPhone Camera case to document Parisian life, Emily’s Season 3 looks are, naturally, Instagram ready. If you’re playing “name that bag” what did you spot?
Episode 1: I Have Two Lovers
Emily, played by Lily Collins, joins her girlfriends at a quintessential Paris outdoor cafe dressed in metallic green Maison Skorpios boots and Essentiel Antwerp Rainbow sweater. Also on her index finger, Emily wears a small Ginkgo yellow gold ring from Vever Jewelry. She carries a hot pink Epi Leather Louis Vuitton Petite Malle hard sided bag.
To the left Mindy, played by Ashley Park, is wearing a custom Danamé suit and Roger Viver Leopard print sandals with a mint green Louis Vuitton Capucines mini bag. On the table, her white Louis Vuitton Moon Cat eye sunnies are resting next to her coffee.
On the right, Camile, played by Camile Razat, is wearing a Balmain Graffiti jacket, Celine Margaret jeans, Oasi Glasses and Maison Margiela Tabi hand painted ankle boots. She is carrying a LV Twist Wild at Heart PM bag.
Episode 2: What’s It All About…
While shopping for flowers, Emily carries a Pierre Hardy Alpha Handbag in White. The Alpha bag can be worn crossbody or held by the top handle like Emily does. Even though her bag has plenty of color, she pairs it with a Mira Mikati neon neck jacket. Around her neck is a dainty alphabet necklace by Vanrycke Paris.
Along with Emily’s vibrant colors, Mindy is carrying a rainbow stripe Brilliant Delvaux PM bag with cat eye sunglasses by Linda Farrow.
Episode 4: Live from Paris, It’s Emily Cooper
One of the most vibrant colored bags of the season, Emily wears this neon green Visore X Manette Bag Fluo with a matching Miu Miu 2015 resort collection psychedelic print coat. The bag even matches Mindy’s boots. The Visore X website describes this bag as “inspired by his teenage years when he played Playstation, Alphonse Maitrepierre created this bag in a shape of a controller, Manette in French.”
Episode 5: Ooo La La Liste
A statement bag adorns the crook of Emily’s arm. This silver Louis Vuitton Minaudiere bag is a total conversation-starter. Nicolas Ghesquière designed it after the Chrysler Building in New York City for his 2020 collection.
In addition to her stylish handbag, she wears a Livy Studio eclipse soft bandeau top with a black Barbara Bui blazer.
In a metallic gold overcoat, she carries a Louis Vuitton Black Coussin BB bag.
Episode 6: Ex-en-Provence
Surrounded by the beautiful meadow of lavender, Emily carries the Polène Yké in Epuisé. The handwoven basket bag closes with a leather top flap. With classic Emily flair, she ties a scarf on the handles, for that little something extra.
Are we all obsessed with picnic style bags? While it does come in other colors, you won’t be able to resist from preordering this cutie off the Polène website.
Episode 7: How to Lose a Designer in 10 Days
Emily pairs her Prada Triangle Yellow Shoulder Bag with over the knee vibrant purple suede boots and a graphic T-shirt dress. It sure seems like Emily loves yellow Prada. Devoted viewers and fashion watchers may remember the yellow Prada Cleo bag from Season Two?
In another scene, sporting a pin striped jumpsuit, Emily carries a crossbody chain strap Carolina Herrera tweed Bag.
Episode 8: Fashion Victim
Small is big in this episode as Emily’s featured handbags are mainly small clutches. Wondering if there’s a royal theme here as one is a gold python Celine bag and another a Renaud Pellegrino Cardinal Blue wristlet bag, both equally cute.
Episode 9: Love is in the Air
In this episode, Emily brings out two top brands we love – Gucci and Chanel. First, Emily carries a Gucci 1947 Bamboo top handle bag with a very au courant bold chevron and polka dot design.
Next to Mindy is her Christian Louboutin bag from the 2023 Summer collection. Her metallic gold suit is from Rotate Birger Christensen.
Emily also brings back an oldie but a goodie from Season One, the1995 Chanel Checkered shoulder bag. Props for the repeat!
Episode 10: Charade
Check it out. It’s a mix of sizes and high-low fashion. Emily pairs her checkered jacket from Zara with a Carolina Herrera Large Poncho Shoulder Bag (and multicolored checked slacks).
What do you think of Season 3’s handbags? Are any a must-have for you? Did you spot any other bag you needed from this season? Let us know.
Love, PurseBop
