Sabrina Sadiq, the visionary CEO behind Luxury Promise, recently celebrated her milestone 40th birthday in grand style. After the excitement of her big birthday celebrations, we caught up with her ahead of the highly anticipated Luxury Promise event. From luxury giveaways to exclusive bag reveals, Sabrina shares what turning 40 means to her and what’s in store for this unforgettable celebration.

Where did you celebrate your 40th birthday?
I wanted to close out my 30s in the best way possible—by traveling to all of my favorite destinations. My journey began in Japan, where I immersed myself in the incredible culture, met amazing people, and, of course, indulged in my love for handbags. From there, I made a quick stop in Singapore, where I may have picked up a few special pieces. I then took a detour to Bali before wrapping up my whirlwind adventure in Malaysia. It was the perfect way to mark this milestone.
What were some of the special gifts you received?
At this stage in my life, I want pieces that truly speak to me—ones that are worth the wait.
The first treasure I found was in Japan: a Birkin 35 in houndstooth tartan plaid wool in Ebene. It was unlike anything I had ever seen, exuding a Scottish Sherlock Holmes aesthetic. Being married to a Scottish man, I knew this bag had to be mine—it felt like a beautiful connection to him.
Just when I thought my handbag hunt was complete, fate had another surprise in store. For years, I had my heart set on an Hermès Cargo Birkin in gold (not sesame), but it had always been elusive. When I arrived in Singapore, the team at Luxury Promise told me they had just received that exact bag. It was pre-loved, marked, and beautifully worn in—a quality I adore, much like my suede Birkin 40. I find well-loved bags more enjoyable to use, as they carry stories and memories.
Little did I know, my team had secretly reached out to my husband, who purchased it for me as a surprise. When I arrived, it was waiting for me in its blue box, beauty marks and all—the perfect travel companion.
Both bags I acquired were 35s, but lately, I find myself drawn to larger, slouchier styles that I can truly use and make my own. My next dream bag? A Kelly 50.
What inspired you to curate this amazing live show?
My handbag collection is more than just a passion—it represents my hard work, my dreams, and my journey. Each piece tells a story, and that love for handbags ultimately led me to build my career as a founder and CEO in this industry.
To celebrate this milestone, I wanted to curate a collection that reflected my personal taste—bags I would genuinely add to my own wardrobe. But more importantly, I wanted to give back to my community, to celebrate with the incredible women and men who share the same love and ambition. That’s why this live show wasn’t just about the bags; it was about creating a moment, giving special gifts, and celebrating in true style.
