Update: September 14, 2023
The New York Fashion Week presentation of “Walking on Air” Hermès Men’s Winter 2023 Collection was nothing short of magical. Held at the Skylight at The Refinery in Brooklyn, NYC, it was spectacular in every imaginable sense. The sunset backdrop, the music, the energy and for me personally — to be invited with Mr. PurseBop and experiencing it hand-in-hand — was pure magic. Hope you enjoy the footage!
Sneaking over to the men’s side of Hermès to source our next wishlist bags, we found a few lust-worthy choices in the Hermès Men’s Fall/Winter 2023 show. Two large, two small… and all just right for any gender. That includes a new version of the HAC Birkin 50. More on that later.
But first, a quick review of the clothing. To no one’s surprise, the Fall/Winter colors are seasonally dark, primarily blacks and browns. True to Hermès’ heritage, there was lots of leather. And men… get ready to sport black leather slacks and joggers, perhaps more than prior seasons.
New HAC Birkin 50
Hermès often features HAC Birkin 50 in its men’s runway collections. Remember the printed HACs shown for Spring/Summer 2023 – which should be on their way or in boutiques now.

Fall/Winter 2022 introduced the “Rock” – a HAC Birkin variation with chain detailing, a half-moon outer pocket, and a zippered section on the back. It was something of a play on the Cargo Birkin, updated for men.

So it’s no surprise that we find multiple HACs completing men’s ensembles. The runway included several – mainly in black and brown leather, some exotic.
But, lucky for us all, there’s a new variation walking the line… with an outer front pocket and extra Kelly closure. Easy access to phones and keys while staying in the linear Hermès style.
Duffle
Hermès men’s bags often hint of travel themes, in no small part because of their size. Few of us are likely to carry such big bags on the daily, particularly as a duffle. We’ve seen versions of this bag before . . . and there are more coming for Fall/Winter 2023. Two handled, it otherwise resembles the brand’s single-handle Maxibox.
Kelly Clutch Style
Closer to a clutch than a handbag, this one has what appears to be a wrist strap, although admittedly we cannot tell the precise length. Much like the Kelly Depeches 25 Pouch, although this one appears thicker, the shape is more squarish than most Kelly clutches. However, with that iconic closure there’s no mistaking this bag for anything but Hermès.
Cross-Body
Forget a bag on your shoulder, or across the front, this bag is shown across the bag. It’s another Kelly style – much like the Kelly Danse – albeit with a thicker leather strap attached at the sides and a wider base and body. We suspect this one will be a universal favorite.
Which, if any, of these bags are enticing you to shop from the men’s boutique at Hermès? Sadly, they won’t be any easier to get from the store, but it could lengthen your wishlist.
Love, PurseBop
