The Cartier Love bracelet is one of the most recognizable, if not the most recognizable, pieces in the luxury jewelry space. From royalty to A-list celebrities to your everyday gal just starting to curate her designer jewelry collection, the Love bracelet has captured the hearts of many, many women around the globe – myself included! All of us have to thank Aldo Cipullo – or more precisely, the woman who caused his heartbreak which ultimately served as the inspiration for the bracelet’s screw design – for the iconic Love collection. To learn about the backstory, you can read more here.
The popularity of Cartier’s Love collection continues to grow, with clients, old and new, finding their first or fifth piece. It is timeless and transcends generations. While a husband may gift a Love bracelet to his wife as a symbol of his everlasting commitment to her, a 20-something-year-old woman may gift herself a Love ring to celebrate a personal milestone. Regardless of the story, each piece of jewelry from the Love collection has unique memories attached to it, which can be passed down through families, time and time again.
From its first introduction in 1969 to the present day, the Love bracelet remains one of Cartier’s most iconic, desirable pieces. It’s no wonder that the Maison continues to expand the line – the Love collection is now available in bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces.
Most recently, Cartier decided to return to its roots and introduce a new size of the collection’s most quintessential piece – a medium model of the Love bracelet.
Like its predecessors, the medium model of the Love bracelet comes in 18k pink, yellow, and white gold.
While all three sizes – small, classic, and medium – can be worn alone or stacked together, the medium model is perfectly proportioned with an intermediate width to sit between the small and classic models. The width of the small is 3.65 mm, the medium is 4.8 mm, and the classic is 6.1mm.
Similar to the small model, the medium size features a closure system with one screw and hinge. In contrast to the original fastening system with two screws included on the classic model, this closure mechanism makes it easier to take on and off alone.
Like its width, the price point of the medium model also sits between the small and the classic sizes. The small is $4,750, the medium is $6,100, and the classic is $7,350 for pink and yellow gold.
In the white gold version, the small is $5,100, the medium is $6,550, and the classic is $7,900.
You really can’t go wrong with any size of the Love bracelet. It will all come down to your personal preference and how you’d like it to look and fit on your wrist!
