Simon Porte Jacquemus opted for a more intimate setting in Paris for his Spring 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection. Departing from his signature grandiose locations—like the lavender fields of Provence or the beaches of Hawaii — Jacquemus embraced a quieter, more personal approach this season.
Notably, this collection was off-schedule and presented during Men’s Fashion Week, rather than being part of the official Women’s Paris Fashion Week calendar. For the show, Jacquemus selected a ‘masterpiece’ Art Deco apartment, designed by celebrated architect Auguste Perret for himself and his wife, Jeanne Cordeau.
The change in scenery didn’t deter an A-list guest list, who filled Perret’s stately sitting room. Among the audience were Pamela Anderson, Carla Bruni, Audrey Tautou, Stefon Diggs, and Central Cee, all watching as supermodels Christy Turlington, Liya Kebede, Doutzen Kroes, and Eva Herzigova – iconic figures of the ‘90s and early 2000s – brought the collection to life.
Entitled La Croisière, the collection channeled a 1950s-inspired aesthetic with impeccably structured gowns and flowing silhouettes that almost felt like a Jacquemus take on haute couture. Accessories played a key role in adding playful touches to the otherwise sophisticated garments. Signature Jacquemus elements — like stripes, polka dots, and bold accents — infused the collection with his distinct identity.
Let’s take a closer look at the standout bags from Jacquemus’ Spring 2025 lineup.
The Salon Clutch
The Salon Clutch reimagines the east-west silhouette, pushing its sleek proportions further horizontal.
Crafted from ultra-smooth lambskin leather, this minimalist bag measures 35 x 12 x 8.5 cm (13.8 x 4.7 x 3.3 inches). Its slim profile allows it to tuck easily under the arm, whether worn with the thin, removable shoulder strap or carried as a clutch.
Minimalist in design, the highlight is its vintage-inspired hardware – a Rond Carré Clutch clasp closure in contrasting silver and gold metal.
Color options include Light Yellow, White, Black, Green, and Brown croc-effect, along with playful new patterns like Light Ivory with Black polka dots, White and Yellow stripes, and contrasting Black-on-Black stripes in leather and suede. The Salon Clutch retails for €1,090 (£1,050/$1,390).
The Rond Carré Clutch
A staple from the iconic Fall/Winter 2023/2024 show at Château de Versailles, the Rond Carré Clutch returns in new textures and colors for Spring 2025.
This season’s standout is a chic ‘so black’ iteration, featuring crocodile-embossed leather with matching black-coated hardware— a fresh take on its classic mix of silver and gold finishes.
The clutch’s roll-top design, inspired by take-out paper bags, offers a subtle nod to practicality. Secured with a discreet magnetic closure, it measures 17 x 27.7 x 12.2 cm (6.7 x 10.9 x 4.8 inches) and includes an interior card pocket.
For those seeking a bolder look, it’s also available in bright Red with matching hardware. The croc-embossed Rond Carré Clutch retails for €950 (£900/$1,250).
The Turismo
Perhaps Jacquemus’ answer to the coveted Margaux bag from The Row, the Turismo offers style and functionality in one chic package, featuring the welcome addition of a practical zip for added security.
This structured bowling bag silhouette features a slouched, curved design. Distinctive Jacquemus details include double top handles – one with a knotted detail – and loop accents at each end, possibly for attaching charms or scarves for added flair.
The Turismo comes in three sizes:
Turismo Bag | Dimensions (cm/inches) | Price (€) | Price (£) | Price ($) |
Small | 26 x 16 x 11 cm / 10.2 x 6.3 x 4.3 inches | €890 | £900 | $1,290 |
Classic | 39 x 21 x 17 cm / 15.4 x 8.3 x 6.7 inches | €1,190 | £1,150 | $1,490 |
Large | 50 x 32 x 21 cm / 19.7 x 12.6 x 8.3 inches | €1,390 | £1,350 | $1,790 |
Inside, a zipped pocket and large patch pocket keep essentials secure, while a two-way zip closure completes the look.
Leather options range from classic Black and Light Yellow to embossed croc suede in Light Pink and Dark Brown. Spring 2025 runway exclusives include a Lemon Yellow version with appliqué detailing and a Green design with a knotted leaf accent. Prices start at € (£900/$1,290) for the small size.
The Marino Horizontal Shopper Bag
Another tote offering, the Marino Horizontal Shopper offers a relaxed, practical design.
Crafted from soft caviar-grained leather, this roomy tote measures 44 x 36 x 17 cm (17.3 x 14.2 x 6.7 inches) and features double top handles as well as a removable, adjustable crossbody strap. Although the bag is secured with a popper fastening at the top, you’ll find an interior zip pocket to house essentials safely.
Available in three finishes—classic Black, Terracotta with Black accents, and braided leather in Dark Brown—the Marino Shopper retails for €1,090 (£1,090).
The Large Bambino
Last but not least, the iconic Bambino gets a Spring 2025 makeover. First introduced in Autumn/Winter 2020, the Bambino’s updated design features a bold metal tab-outline closure, highlighting its structured, modern silhouette.
Crafted from shiny calfskin, the large Bambino measures 13 x 23.5 x 7 cm (5.1 x 9.3 x 2.8 inches). It includes a back patch pocket and an internal card slot for added utility. The bag can be carried by its top handle or worn crossbody using the removable thin shoulder strap.
Available in Black, Light Ivory, and Red, the updated Large Bambino retails for €950 (£890/$1,250).
