It’s back to the future with Louis Vuitton . . . Literally. Taking us to 2005 when then Louis Vuitton head designer Marc Jacobs introduced the monogram logo to denim. And we’re not talking about what was on your jeans. The Denim Monogram handbag collection of Spring/Summer 2005 was a standout. So much so that over the last two decades the brand has issued other blue and black denim products. Nevertheless, these vintage treasures remained on the wish lists of many fashionistas. And now, in 2024, the LV denim monogram is back.
Called LV Remix, the luxury brand is taking cues (or creating them) from the current popularity of Y2K fashion.
“Evoking a nostalgic Y2K aesthetic with a contemporary flair, Louis Vuitton’s iconic silhouettes are reinvented in vintage denim across a range of playful proportions. From revisited archival pieces to new creations, this distinctive collection is imbued with the Maison’s codes, featuring bold detailing and the emblematic Monogram motif.” – louisvuitton.com
There’s a long list of bag styles hitting the shelves (and your closet perhaps) this year. It includes oldies like the Speedy, Keepall, and Papillon, as well as models introduced more recently like the Coussin. And, of course, there are some newer bags as well. Prices range from $1490 for the large cosmetics pochette to $4350 for the small Coussin handbag. The denim Horizon 55 luggage is $4200, $800 more than the canvas monogrammed versions.
Nano Speedy – $2,600
Coussin PM – $4,350
Croissant MM – $3,350
Sunset – $2,970
Fairfax Pochette – $2,110
High Rise – $2,600
OnTheGo MM – $3,700
Keepall Bandoulière 45 – $3,700
Venice – $3,450
Hills Pochette – $1,860
Petite Valise Denim Bleu – $11,100
Papilon – $3,350
CarryAll MM – $3,450
Horizon 55 – $4,200
Pochette Cosmétique GM – $1,490
Perhaps you love the look but want the original or hope to save money by going vintage. These bags typically are available on the resale market, but pricing varies heavily according to the condition . . . of the bags themselves and market demand. Often, a reissuance of a style causes a surge in the pricing of the older style. Other times, consumers prefer the newest and latest.
Right now, FASHIONPHILE lists a denim Loop (somewhat similar to the Croissant) in excellent condition for $3085, roughly $300 less than the current Croissant. A denim bum bag from 2007 in very good condition lists at $2410. Scour the internet further and you’ll find a 2005 mini pleaty for $3887. And there’s a backpack with a nearly $16,000 price tag.
After you check out Louis Vuitton’s LV Remix, let us know: jeanious (pun intended) or dull?

HOW YOU CAN RECOVER YOUR LOST CRYPTO/FUNDS: Lost hope in a crypto scam? I got my $394,330 back! I invested $430,000 in a bogus crypto site. Big returns promised, withdrawals blocked, extra fees demanded – it was a nightmare. Feeling trapped, I even considered the unthinkable. My family helped me through it, and my niece suggested HACKERSTEVE911. They’d helped her with grades, but I’d never thought of them for this. I contacted them, expecting little. But within four days, they recovered $394,330 back to my wallet! My hope, my life, was back. If you’re in a similar situation, don’t lose hope.
