With Dua Lipa announced as the face of the Chanel 25 handbag campaign and recently spotted carrying it at the Chanel Spring 2025 Couture show, all eyes are on the star and the bag. Though the full campaign won’t launch until March 2025, the Chanel 25 is already generating serious buzz.

First unveiled in the Cruise 2024/25 handbag collection, the Chanel 25 combines classic Chanel sophistication with modern practicality. With its relaxed, slouchy shape inspired by the Chanel 22 and a sleek trapezoid silhouette, the bag offers a fresh yet timeless appeal. Signature Chanel elements, such as the iconic CC emblems, quilted leather, and a chunky chain strap, bring a touch of vintage vibes to this everyday essential.

In the Chanel 25, form meets function, with useful details seamlessly integrated into its chic design. Side pockets, secured with CC fastenings, offer convenient storage for smaller essentials, while the main compartment is roomy enough for everyday necessities. The drawstring closure enhances the bag’s bucket-like silhouette and provides security and easy access to your belongings.
The Chanel 25 is available in three sizes. The large version measures 16.5 x 14.2 x 5.9 inches offering plenty of room, the medium version measures 15.7 x 11.8 x 5.9 inches, and the smaller size, at 11.8 x 10.2 x 5.5 inches, is ideal for those who prefer a more compact option. All styles include a handy clutch that can be worn solo or used to house essentials.
Although styled primarily as a handheld piece on the runway, the single chunky chain strap makes it easy and comfortable for shoulder wear.

Currently, the Chanel 25 Bag is available in boutiques in several shades of suede, including Gray and Beige, as well as White or Black calfskin leather from the Cruise 2024/25 collection.
However, there’s even more to look forward to in March, when the Spring-Summer 2025 lineup introduces the Chanel 25 in fresh seasonal shades and materials. Expect chic pastel tones like Pale Pink and Pale Green, as well as a laid-back Gray denim option, all accented with gold-tone hardware.

The Chanel 25 retails for $6,000 in the small size, $6,400 in the medium size, $7,300 in the large size—placing it at a higher price point than the Chanel 22 collection. Whether it will surpass the now-iconic Chanel 22 to claim the top spot in the hobo bag category remains to be seen—but it’s certainly making a strong case.
