It’s here… the time of year that has every Hermès bag lover on edge, wondering just how high Birkin and Kelly prices will go. Whether you’re pining for your first (or tenth) or waiting for your 2023 or 2024 Special Order, you need to know the latest prices. Historically Hermès raises prices in the first quarter of the new calendar year, and in 2025, it wasted no time. New prices released on January 1, 2025 – up between 3% and 8.4% depending on the model.

When it comes to Birkins, new prices for the 25 cm, 30 cm, and 35 cm in Togo are instructive – all up roughly 4% or approximately €400 (give or take). Specifically the 2025 B25 price rose €350 or 4.1%. For the B30 and B35, prices are up €400, or 4.3 and 3.9%, respectively.
When it comes to Kellys, new prices for the Togo 25 cm went up roughly 4% or €350.
The exotic leathers increased 7.5% for the Mini Kelly 20 Matte Gator and 6.5% for the Kelly Elan Shiny Croc with Feathers.
While rising prices for Hermès bags are rarely good news for clients – whether established, new, or still dreaming – the data so far (as of January 3, 2025) suggests that the primary basis for these increases is the cost of goods and labor. Historically, Hermès was known to lift prices 1-4% annually. However, Hermès imposed more substantial price hikes in the last two years. In 2024, prices in Europe rose between 7 and 13%, far more than the “typical” increase . . . and more than we are seeing so far in 2025.
We’ll keep you posted as to the United States and other countries as information becomes available. Let us know whether these price hikes will affect your future handbag collection.
